Sarra Cannon is an American author of fiction. She writes novels for mainly young adults that fall into the always fun and creative fantasy genre. She enjoys coming up with unique stories that feature the fantastical and has always loved using her imagination. Now it has paid off as she is officially a published author.

She says that whenever she comes up with a plot or a story, it always seems to go to a certain place. Even if it seems like a normal story, she ends up adding in zombies, demons, witches, ghosts, or something paranormal. One way or another, there is always something paranormal that inserts its way into every story that she writes. Probably because Cannon really enjoys the supernatural!

Growing up, she lived in a cabin in the woods with her family, kind of like the victims in a lot of the scary horror movies that she loves. She lived in the cabin with her sister and brother and mom and dad, and they all collaborated in order to build their family home all by themselves from the ground to the roof.

She and her family lived near Hawkinsville, Georgia, but were actually several miles outside of it. Sarra attended school from kindergarten to graduating high school. She credits living in what is essentially the middle of nowhere in the woods meant that she had plenty of opportunities to use her imagination and come up with vivid stories, characters, and games. She has always loved the sight and feeling of a full moon.

Cannon is the originator and author of the Shadow Demons saga. The series started off in 2010 with the release of the debut novel in this fantasy series. It was titled Beautiful Demons. The sequel came out the same year and is titled Inner Demons. The series may also be referred to as the Peachville High Demons series on occasion but is most frequently referred to as the Shadow Demons series.

There are a ton of books in this fantastical series, so if you like the sound of the first two novels, you’ll probably be highly interested in reading the rest. The third novel came out in 2011 and is titled Bitter Demons. There are many books in this saga and Cannon continues to surprise and delight with every single one.

Beautiful Demons is the first novel in the Shadow Demons series. The main character in this novel is a girl named Harper. Harper Madison may have the same name as a dozen other girls in private schools around the country, but this girl is not like other peers her age, that is for certain.

Harper is different from other girls in that she actually possesses magical powers. The power in her is extraordinary, but she has no idea how to use them or keep them in check. The lack of ability to control her powers has gotten her evacuated from a ton of foster homes and onto the next. She’s lost track of how many foster parents have just been too freaked out by her abilities to deal with it and just sent her on to the next home.

Harper is now going to stay at a new place, Shadowford Home. She knows that she is running out of chances to find refuge and a temporary home. Peachville High may now just be the new start that she needs. When some evidence pops up that may tie her to the death of a cheerleader, Harper is in trouble, because this was no accidental death.

It was a murder. Peachville High may not be the blank slate that she hoped it would be. However, Harper has one thing going for her; she knows that she didn’t do it. Now it’s just a question of finding out who did. Inner Demons is the second novel in the Shadow Demons series. All that Harper Madison ever wanted in life was to find somewhere that she could settle down.
