Shannon K. Butcher is an American published author of fiction. She also writes under the pen name of Anna Argent.

Shannon first got her career writing started in 2007, when she launched her first book. She has enjoyed a lot of success since then, winning awards and gaining many new fans and readers across the course of what is now well over a dozen novels and counting. A prolific writer, Butcher has authored The Edge, a series focused on action and romance, as well as the Sentinel Wars (a paranormal romance series) and various novels in the romantic suspense genre as well as short fiction.

Butcher was not always part of the literary scene like this. In another life, she was an engineer. She remains interested in the field still, describing herself as being a “current nerd”. However, her past career has been put to good use in her new one and she will often use tables, charts, and graphs in the process of coming up with her story.
