Shannon Mayer is USA today best selling female author of the Rylee Adamson novels, The Elemental Series, the Nevermore Trilogy, a Celtic Legacy Series and several contemporary romances. She was born in Canada on 12th June 1979. Her genre is mainly romance, science fiction and fantasy horror. She started reading and writing at a very tender age when she realized that she never wanted to grow up not believing that magic did not exist nor the creatures everyone else claimed not to exist. She realized that that was where all the fun was, in fantasy.
She started reading books by Robert Jordan, Piers Anthony, Melanie Rawn and Ann Rice. These authors played the motivational role in her life. This was when she realized that love stories and darker fantasies was part of her. Not only did she focus on reading such related books during her free time but love stories and darker related fantasy became the style she can’t resist to write on.
Somewhere along the way she met her husband who ensured that she did not float way into her dreams; together they have an adorable son whom their worlds revolve around. They live on a farm and Shannon loves doing all the activities that come along with living on a farm. Alongside writing she is into spending time with family and animals, horse riding, gardening and hiking with her husband.
She has written so many books over the years, books that are a must read. Under the Rylee Adams novels she has the following books; Priceless, which was released in November 2014 this book, has really intriguing mystery, assortment of paranormal creature and a unique hate/lust relationship. Immune, which was released in March 2013this book has lots of action and sexual tension as well. Raising innocence, this book was released in May 2013 it entails lots of adventure and action that leaves you wanting to know more. Shadowed thread, it was released in august 2013 is book is based purely on urban fantasy. Blind salvage, it was released in November 2013 this book is full of intriguing turn of events and keeps you in edge throughout the entire book. Tracker, it was released in March 2014 this book has an ending you will really love. Veiled threat, it was released in may 2014 this book just has an engaging plot you that keeps you glued to the book. Wounded, it was released in September 2014 it has really captivating twists and turns. Tracking magic, it was released in May 2015. Elementary priceless, it was released in January 2015. Rising darkness, it was released in April 2015, this book is simply unpredictable. Alex was released in December 2013. Stitched, was released march 2015. Guardian was released august 2014. She realized that that was where all the fun was, in fantasy.
Under the elemental series she has two awesome books based on urban fantasy genre. They are; Recurve which was released in March 2015 and breakwater which was released in June 2015. Under the never more trilogy is an epic continuous three book series based on paranormal apocalyptic romantic suspense. Sundered which was released in December 2013, bound which was released in September 2013 and dauntless which was released in October 2011. Then in April 2013 she released a bonus story titled the nevermore trilogy. Under a Celtic legacy series she has three epic urban fantasy based books, Dark waters, which was released in December 2011, this book has it all from an assortment of monsters to sexy men, Dark Isle, which was released in July 2012 and Dark Fae, which was released in September 2012. She then released a combination of the three titled Celtic legacy 3 in November 2013.
She has several contemporary romances which include; high risk love which was released in July 2013 and of the heart which was released in October 2013. Under this category she also has anthologies which are short contemporary romance stories. They are Red Hot lover which was released in March 2015, which was released in February 2012 and Darling of Decay which was released in March 2015
Bound and dauntless are two books in her series the nevermore trilogy that are just worth mentioning just what they really entail. In bound we find two newlyweds Mara and Sebastian who are madly in love. Sooner than expected they are faced with an unimaginable problem; a drug that promised them the hope of weight loss, cure for cancer, Parkinson’s disease and infertility. Sadly the side effects experience was nothing close to hopeful. This result turns friends and loved ones into monsters. But Mara and Sebastian decide to face the darkening of humanity together. Unfortunately, there is a secret between them that threatens their love and chances of survival. Who could be harboring this life threatening secret? What could this secret be? Dauntless then picks up the intriguing turn of events where Mara has to use all the strength she can gather within her to fight the unavoidable madness around them. Mara will have to fight alone, something that she has never done before but has to find it within her to do since Sebastian is slowly slipping away from her, so as to free both her and Sebastian from the bondage and for good. Bonds of friendship and love are overstretched to their breaking points, she does not have it easy since the world around her spins out of her control and the dangers continue piling. Can she really fight for hem both and overcome the obstacle ahead of healing Sebastian? With the time left in her hands can she make it? This book keeps you glued to it to the very end and leaves you seated at the edge of your seat and hoping you could help cheer Mara and Sebastian towards using their love to fight against the inhumanity that seems to be overpowering them.
Shannon Mayer’s works are a definition of real suspense, intrigue and fantasy. She has managed to keep track of these because she writes the kind of books she would want to read with character she would want to meet, fights that would make her curl up her fists and magic that would make her believe anything is possible.
