Sheila O’Flanagan is an Irish published author.

Sheila O’Flanagan was born in Dublin, Ireland. She grew up with her parents, who owned a grocery shop in the city’s Liberties area. As a child, Sheila loved reading books as well as telling stories. She says that everyone thought that she would end up working in a field that had to do with books. Even though she did end up applying to work in the library, the majority of the job offers that she received were for positions in commerce.

The author says that she turned down plenty of the job offers until she accepted one. The job was working at an Irish bank and she says that is how her career working in the field of financial services first started. She was working in administration and then in a commercial bank as a dealer. She was eventually promoted to the position of Chief Dealer, and was the country’s first woman in that position.

She says that she traded in many different things, including bonds, options, swaps, and foreign exchange. Sheila acknowledges that these are the difficult and technical sounding thing that people read of in the newspaper, but promises it isn’t so technical.

Even though she had a professional career, she still did have a passion for writing and reading. She did both of them when she was able to find some spare time. Even though she wanted to write her own book badly, she says that she eventually came to a crossroads when she was in her thirties. That was when she thought to herself that she would write something or never have the chance to do it, so she sat down and wrote an entire book that she ended up sending off.

As a result, she was offered a deal in publishing, although it did not come with an advance. The offer was extended to her by a company in Ireland, but the catch was that they wanted a different story from her and to publish that book. Sheila went back to square one and began again, with another two years passing before that story ended up being published.

She wrote some more books and eventually was offered an advance along with her contract from a different publisher. It was then that she finally felt ready to be able to leave her job trading and try her hand at writing as a full-time offer. The process did take a while, but eventually Sheila did pursue and achieve her dream of working as a writer on a full time basis.

Sheila O’Flanagan now writes books for a living as well as her own business column that is published in the Irish Times. She says that when she is composing a book, her goal is to do these three things. She wants to be able to tell a quality story, have the reader feel that they actually know the book’s characters, and be sure to make each novel even better than its predecessor.

Sheila says that she doesn’t write her books for an audience in particular but probably has people like herself in her head as the ones reading them, people that are busy and like to escape into a fictional world of someone else’s life for some time. She enjoys writing her stories and hopes that her readers also enjoy picking them up and reading them.

Sheila O’Flanagan is the creator and author of the Crystal Run series, which became available to readers for the first time in 2016. The first book in the series was published that year and carries the title that inspired the name of this series. The sequel came out in 2018 and is titled Shield of Lies.

The Crystal Run is the first novel in the fictional series of the same name by talented Irish author Sheila O’Flanagan. This is the story where readers get to meet the main character of Joe.

Joe is desperate to get away from the danger that he faces, but has no idea that he would end up being transported to a different world entirely. Once he has transitioned over to this world, he finds that he is part of the Runners and their intense training regime right away.

The mission of the Runners is important. They are designated to protect a shield. The shield is the sole thing that protects the Carcassians. The Kanabians are the enemy of these people and they need the item to be safe at all times.

But Joe’s sudden appearance in their world and his status as an outsider means that suspicions are instantly raised about him. The rumors about him start to swirl almost instantly. People wonder whether he is a spy for the Kanabians, or a powerful sorcerer. Perhaps he is a terrorist sent to destroy everything that they hold dear.

No one knows what to make of him, but he is allowed to join the Runners. But when he gets a teammate for the Run, he starts to realize that there is much more at stake than he realized. Kaia is his partner, and he starts to realize that the ultimate fate of every Runner ends in death.

Joe doesn’t want Kaia to die and he doesn’t want to get hurt either. He is faced with an entirely new world and is trying to learn the rules as he goes. Joe is going to have to find a way to get them out of this situation.

Can he discover a way that he can save the two of them? Or he is doomed along with his partner from the start? Find out in this first novel from the Crystal Run series!

Shield of Lies is the second novel in this series. Kaia was prepared to die for what she believed in as a Runner and never questioned anything that was told to her.

Her entire world demands that sacrifices be made by the people. Joe opened up her eyes to the flawed beliefs that this world follows. They must now risk everything in a bid to return and save more Runners from their deaths. Will they triumph? Read this book to find out!

    Dear Sheila,
I thoroughly enjoyed reading 3 weddings an a proposal that I just finished yesterday. It is the first time that I write to an author to congratulate her/him. It was a real nice, pleasant and conforting read. Nothing I expected happened but a lot unexpected and I loved it. But I wonder if you intend to write a following book as some issues have left open ? I wonder what will happen next and what will happen to the “horrible” Justin…..
