About Skye Warren

Early and Personal Life:
Born in America, the future author to be Skye Warren was always interested in both reading and writing from an early age. This would then pave the way for her career as a writer, as she would develop herself extensively over the years. Creating an idiosyncratic and unique voice, she would take to genre fiction, allowing her own style to come through.
Over time this would continue, as she’d inflect her romance novels with an element of danger, giving it that much needed edge. This would become a trademark of hers in time, allowing her to create her own unique brand that really stood out above the rest. Currently living in Texas with her family and dogs, she continues to write to this present day, with plenty more titles planned on the horizon.
Writing Career:
In 2011 Skye Warren would begin her writing career with her first two novels, which would both be romance titles. One would start her ‘Beauty’ series with the novel ‘Beauty Touched the Beast’, whilst the other would be a stand-alone called ‘Below the Belt’. Many of her novels would feature themes of kink and fetish, as she’d largely focus on more dominant women in the writing.
Throughout the years many of her works have gone on to become worldwide bestsellers, including reaching the top of the New York Times bestseller list. Featured in numerous different publications as well, including Glamour, Elle, Buzzfeed, USA Today, and Jezebel, she’s also an extremely prolific author. Sweet
First published in 2013 on the 6th of August, this would be the seventh book in the ”Chicago Underground’ series of novels. Released on the Kindle platform, it would come out after the novel ‘Secret’, as they all contain their own romantic relationship. The stories themselves, whilst set in the same world, are all self-contained narratives, largely connected only thematically.
This is definitely an erotically charged romantic thriller novella, which is short and easy to read, getting straight to the point. Whilst it’s in the same world as the previous titles in the Underground series, it very much is its own thing throughout. The characters are all well drawn and it wastes no time, allowing the reader to really invest themselves in its story.
Living a tough life and growing up in care, Rose Murphy has had a hard upbringing, one which has seen her withdraw from men. That is until she meets Drew Laramie, lawyer to her brother Philip, who has been kind and courteous to her whole life, waiting for her to make her move. The only problem is her brother Philip who has numerous connections to the criminal underworld, as they must overcome his constant attention. Will they be able break away from it all? Can they escape the watchful gaze of Philip? Is their love well and truly sweet?
Sonata
This would be the third book in the ongoing ‘North Security’ series of novels, and it would come out on the 6th of August in 2019. Released by Skye Warren herself, it would be the final part in the Liam North and Samantha Brooks trilogy of novels. Reading the other two books before this is important, as they all feature a long-running narrative throughout, which should definitely be noted.
As the big grand finale to the entire trilogy, this really is a climatic conclusion filled with action, suspense, and adventure. Most of all though, it features romance throughout, as the characters at the heart of it all have now developed a bond with the readers. Delivering on what she set out to do, Warren really brings it all together here, as the story really pulls together.
Running from her own past, violin player Samantha Brooks is looking to escape from the last concert that ended as a nightmare. With hope for the future, she wants to be free of the death threats, pursuing love and happiness, and to finally live in peace. Looking for this with Liam North, he must also overcome the trauma and hardships of his own past, looking for his own harmony amongst the chaos. Will they both be able to finally find their place with each other? Can they overcome their past? What will happen as they play their final sonata?
