About Sloane Kennedy

An American author, Sloane Kennedy is extremely well regarded for her unique and innovative take on the romance genre. Combining elements of thriller with passion and romance, many of her books are also LGBT friendly, typically looking at the relationships between men. Her fun and entertaining perspective has really managed to create a style that has become very much its own over the years. Setting herself apart from other writers within her field, she inhabits a space that is entirely idiosyncratic to her and her alone.

Getting to the heart of what she wants to say almost immediately, she really brings her stories to life for the reader. It’s a testament to her skills as an author that she says everything that she wants to say, while keeping her readers continually glued to the page. With lots of twists and turns, she manages to really capture a feeling of both passion and suspense in equal measure, making it work for her. Critically acclaimed by both readers and reviewers alike, she’s become a household name for many around the world, and will continue to be so for years to come.

When it comes to characters Sloane Kennedy is also unsurpassed, as she establishes protagonists that readers really care about. Many of them almost come alive off of the page, providing fully three-dimensional personalities that feel fully rounded out. Over time more and more have discovered her work, as her writing appeals to readers far and wide, regardless of who they are and their background. With so much more still to come, she’s a writer with plenty more to offer, as she will carry on writing for many years to come.

Early and Personal Life

Ever since she was a teenager Sloane Kennedy would dream of being a full-time writer, as she would build upon her craft over time. Her skills as an author would develop over time, as she would come to establish her voice, showing what she ultimately had to offer. Creating her own style and tone, she would heavily invest herself in the field of romance, soon making her own mark upon the genre.

Born in Germany, but growing up in the United States, she would take in much of her inspiration from the world around her. Feeling most at home in Seattle, she would set the large majority of her books there, using the city as the basis for many of her stories. Currently living in Wisconsin, she still continues to write to this very day, and there’s plenty more planned for release in the near future.

Writing Career

It was in 2015 that Sloane Kennedy would release her first book, making her big literary debut with the stand-alone novel ‘Letting Go.’ She would also release ‘Loving Vin’ that same year, which would be the first in her ‘Baretti Security series of novels, and she would go on to create many other series. Included in these are ‘Finding,’ ‘Escort,’ ‘Love in Eden,’ ‘Four,’ ‘Protectors,’ and ‘Pelican Bay’ just to name some of them.

In the past Kennedy has also written alongside fellow authors such as Lucy Lennox, as well as contributing to collections including ‘Heart2Heart.’ Two of her series, ‘Twist of Fate,’ which she wrote with Lucy Lennox, and ‘Pelican Bay,’ have also been optioned for silver-screen adaptations by an Emmy winning producer. With over forty books to her name and counting, as well as many of them reaching the top of the Amazon bestseller lists, she’s not stopping writing any time soon.

Four Ever

First published in 2019 on the 16th of January, this would be an entirely stand-alone romance novel with a lot to offer. It can be read on its own as it’s not a part of any ongoing and long-running series as such, with it being a passionate romance novel. There are some mature themes with warnings, but these are all provided to the reader if needs be prior to them reading.

Surrounded by their pets in their small countryside farmhouse, Killian and Zack seem to have everything with their otherwise perfect relationship. But that’s when, after seven years, old demons begin to rise up to the service building tension between them both and, to top it off, two young homeless brothers called Liam and Noah, one being twenty-one and the other nineteen, turn up on their doorstep. Having been beaten up on the streets recently, the two brothers are looked after, and at first everything seems to be fine, but then the chemistry begins to rise. How will they cope with the passions building between them all, can Zack and Killian face the past, and what shall become of them as they all end up four ever?

It’s a novel focusing on a foursome between the men, and it looks at the relationship with an interesting perspective. The story features engaging and likeable characters the reader can really relate to, allowing them to fully invest themselves in the story. Entertaining and compelling in equal measure, the story deals with a number of different themes and ideas, while managing some of the tougher subject matter with sensitivity.

Retribution

Originally brought out in 2016 on the 17th of June, this would be the third book in ‘The Protectors’ series of romance novels. The books can be read as stand-alone romances, as there are no cliffhangers, with the stories themselves being entirely self-contained. Warnings to mature themes are also given once again if needs be, and it handles all the more difficult subject matter with tact and sensitivity.

Wanting vengeance against the men who brutally murdered his wife, Michael ‘Hawke’ Hawkins is an ex-special forces soldier with one goal in mind. That’s when he meets Tate Travers, a twenty-four-year-old on the run from those same men, with those men being his own father and older brother. Running in to Hawke, Tate’s world is turned upside down, as a bond begins to grow between the two of them, as passions rise high. Will they overcome the troubles of their past, where will their journey take them next, and can Hawkins have his retribution?

It’s another exciting and charged romance story from Sloane Kennedy, clearly showcasing her doing what she does best. Thematically connected to one another, this continues in much the same vein as the previous books, while being its own story at the same time. Filled with action and romance, the story moves along at an exciting pace, ensuring it’s easy to pick up, yet difficult to put down.
