This book consists of the principal characters in the form of Deacon Hamilton, Cleo, Valerie, Derek Hamilton, etc. Victoria has set this book in Tribeca as has introduced Cleo as the Liberty Building’s Director of Concierge. Her job is to look after famous and rich clients, which mostly includes billionaires and VIPs. Cleo’s job also includes taking care of the trophy wives of those rich VIPs. She thinks her job is similar to running a hotel, the only difference being it is exclusively for billionaires. Whenever a penthouse is vacated at the building, rigorous bidding starts by the billionaires to book it for the next several days.

The bidding takes place so fiercely that the whole lobby turns into the Stock Exchange floor. Finally, the bidding ends with the victory of the highest bidder. And this time, the lucky billionaire is Deacon Hamilton. Deacon is handsome, young, and gorgeous. But, Cleo finds him a little odd as he doesn’t speak more than two words to her at a time and doesn’t even look at her at the time of speaking. Emerson is unable to get him to reply to her texts, phone calls, or emails regarding his upcoming book. And whenever she succeeds in finding him at the other end of the phone, he just acts like a jerk and hangs up on her. She begins to see him as a big roadblock in her just-begun editing career.
