Originally coming from Melbourne, the Australian author Stefanie London has been writing for a long time now, having produced a vast quantity of novels over the course of her entire career. Largely creating romance novels, she is well known for her unique take on the genre, as she speaks directly from the heart in a manner that truly resonates with her readers. Growing up with a strong love of the genre, it’s clear to see that she has a strong passion for the form, as it jumps from each and every page, writing in a clearly infectious style that’s impossible not to love. Writing about characters who are close to her too, she is obviously creating characters from a very real and genuine place, as she conveys this passion for them all as well. This also allows her readers to relate to her characters strongly too, letting them feel as if they really know and understand them as people. Allowing her readers to ostensibly escape into her words, she really evokes a true sense of what it’s really like to be in love, something which exudes strongly from her work and throughout her entire career. Clearly knowing and understanding her craft, this is something that will continue on into the foreseeable future, as her writing career grows from strength-to-strength for some time to come.
Early and Personal Life
Born and raised in Melbourne in Australia, the author to be Stefanie London would grow up surrounded by those with a love of literature. Always consuming books, she would pursue this as an interest throughout her life. Continuing throughout school, she would get herself a business degree, all the while focusing on writing.
Later on she would get a job in communications, something which allowed her to pursue her interest in literature. This would soon take her to her current career of working as a novelist. Now living in Toronto with her partner, she continues to write to this very day.
Writing Career
Bringing out her first book titled ‘Only the Brave Try Ballet’ in 2014, she would come a long way fairly quickly. Over the following years she would release a few subsequent series, as well as writing for other highly popular franchises as well. This would then also lead to her becoming a bestselling author who was lauded by both the critics and the general public alike. With more books set to follow it looks like she isn’t stopping any time soon either.
Loving the Odds
Initially released through the ‘Entangled: Lovestruck’ publishing label in 2016 on the 14th of March, this was to be the much anticipated fourteenth title in the ongoing ‘What Happens in Vegas’ series of books. Working as a stand-alone title, this is a much loved series that has consisted of many highly popular and critically acclaimed authors. Set in and around the American city of Las Vegas, this is a series that utilizes the backdrop of the city to loosely connect its long-running collection of books, whilst the stories themselves effectively stand on their own.
Whilst the themes of the novels may have already been previously laid out, this is one title that London truly makes her own. Creating highly unique and idiosyncratic characters with her two leading protagonists Bailey Ruben and Lance Fulton, she ensures her book definitely stands out from the rest. Setting it in Las Vegas akin to the rest of the series, she really makes the most of the city as well, allowing it to effectively become a character in its own right.
Back in the city of Las Vegas, the risk analyst Bailey Ruben has come to the city with only one thing on her mind; finding her ex and getting her grandfather’s prized watch back. She doesn’t account for one thing though, which is running into none other that Lance Fulton, the smoking hot bad boy PR guru with a crazy plan to help her. Whilst they may be strangers at first, what soon entails is a fun adventure, as the two of them aim to have fun, whilst getting back what’s hers. Will they succumb to their passion for one another though? Can they get the watch back and show her ex what he’s really missing? Are they truly loving the odds?
Betting the Bad Boy
Released through the ‘Entangled Publishing’ outlet once more, this was to be the third title in London’s own series of books titled ‘Behind the Bar’. Set around a bar, it manages to finalize the series in an effective and conclusive manner, allowing the franchise to come to a close. Brought out on the 8th of May in 2017, this would provide London’s every loyal legion of fans with what they’d now come to expect from her, whilst offering plenty of twists and turns along the way.
Using the setting of bar, this is a series that really brings a whole range of different characters into it, allowing the series to become a lively and vibrant one. The characters themselves are also vast, as there are a whole selection of them, bringing the series to life, giving it both vibrancy and color throughout. Becoming a character in of itself almost, the concept of the bar, whilst being used in many similar franchises, really comes into its own here, bringing the characters and their relationships into focus.
Starting out with Paige Thomas, it sees her coming to the big city filled with big dreams and vaulting ambition hoping to make it big time, that is until her dreams are dashed by a messy romantic entanglement. Looking to find a job quickly she finds herself thrust into the path of one Noah Reid, as he has been given a bar to look after for one month by his best friend. Dealing with trust issues of his own after suffering an upbringing in the foster system, he finds it hard to get close to people, something which could pose an obstacle after him and Paige start feeling passion for one another. Can they overcome their difficulties? Will they be able to take care of the bar? Who is betting the bad boy?
