One of the novel series written by author Stella Cameron is the Chimney Rock series, which consists of two novels published in the years 2012 and 2013. The series deals with the lives of the central characters residing in the tiny and peaceful town of Whidbey Island in Chimney Rock. The first novel of the Chimney Rock series was published by the Forever publishing house in the year 2012. It was released under the title ‘Darkness Bound’ and contained a mysterious plot revolving around the lives of the main characters Leigh Kelly and Niles Latimer. Author Stella has described the plot of the novel in two parts, the first of which deals with the night falls in the small town of Chimney Rock, whereas the second part deals with the passionate relationship between the main characters that helps them to get transformed. The interesting plot of the novel opens up with the introduction of Leigh Kelly, who arrives on Whidbey Island after the tragic death of her husband, with the intention of making a new start in her life. Upon reaching the small town of Chimney Rock, it appears to her that it is not as peaceful as expected out of it. The town has the habit of always remaining in the news for all the bad reasons, mainly because of the disappearance of the women of the town, one after the other.
Leigh also seems to develop the feeling that she is being watched by someone, especially during the night time. After some time, she begins to experience unexplainable visions and finds it difficult to stop getting attracted towards a handsome stranger, who seems to have full knowledge about her innermost desires in life. In the second part of the novel, Niles Latimer is introduced as a former special ops soldier and the current leader, of a pack of werehounds known as the Team. On one hand, the werehounds of the Team are forced to hide their existence from other living beings and on the other hand, Niles Latimer seems to be in a great desperation of proving that the heart of a man always beats beneath the body of the predator. Now, it is believed that Leigh possesses some unknown powers that she also does not understand and her mysterious beauty might prove to be helpful to Niles Latimer. However, there are others also who are aware of the true identity of Leigh Kelly and they do not have good intentions towards her. The evil creatures are waiting in the woods for the right time to go for the hunt and it is now up to Niles to save her from Leigh from the evil powers.
The second novel of the Chimney Rock series was published by the Forever publishing house under the title ‘Darkness Bred’. However, she is stalked at her every move by the dangers even on the Whidbey Island. She is always pursued by the enemies because of her supernatural gifts and human traits. This has made her a very special being in the minds of her enemies, who are desperate to possess her or destroy her. The only hope that Elin has of surviving for a better future lies with the werehound named Sean Black, with whom she shares a passionate attraction. This seems possible to her only if she will be able to elude the deadly predators, who are determined to get hold of her scent forever. On the other hand, Sean understands the fact that Elin is his perfect mate with her seductive powers and delicate beauty. He believes that the special powers of Elin have the ability to restore his humanity and turn him into an even stronger person. Sean is desperately needful of getting stronger in order to protect Elin from the evils, who also wish to destroy him and all the things that he desires.
