She attended City University London where she studied Creative Writing. She graduated with her MA in creative writing, specializing in what else other than crime fiction. She has had an interesting life outside of writing and has even trained to be a bounty hunter over in California. However, writing has ultimately been her calling. These days, she is surrounded by chickens, horses and cows in her home of Buckinghamshire.

Steph Broadribb is the creator and writer of the Lori Anderson series. The series kicked off in 2016 with the release of the debut novel in the series, which was titled ominously Deep Down Dead. This was followed by the sequel, Deep Blue Trouble, released in 2017. Deep Dirty Truth makes it a trilogy. Read this series and you’ll get to meet the super tough bounty hunter character of Lori Anderson.

Deep Down Dead is the first novel in the Lori Anderson series. In this fun new story from a talented author, readers get introduced to the main character in this story, named Lori Anderson!

She’s a young woman that is pretty tough and keeps busy with her career working as a bounty hunter in Florida. She’s fearless in the field, which is pretty important because working this job in the Sunshine State is a wild gig. As much as she values her job, she works it to provide for her daughter.

Lori is a single mother and Dakota is her daughter. She is nine years old and is dealing with leukemia on top of everything when she should just be able to be a kid. The treatments for her illness are starting to add up, and each one is very expensive. So she’s got to keep on moving and taking gigs and work wherever she can to keep the income flowing.

With money tight, Lori is forced to take her child along with her on a job in order to make some cash quickly. However, it was a bad idea. Things were always bound to go south in a hurry, and now that is exactly what’s happening.

The person that she’s being paid to hunt is someone that she knows, too. That makes it all the more difficult. JT was a mentor to Lori and he was the one who showed her the ropes in the first place. He taught her how to be a bounty hunter– and also knows quite a bit about her clouded past. JT taught her how to bounty hunt– and now he’s a fugitive and her next target.

It turns out that JT has been busy. It’s crazy stuff, too. He’s doing his best to fight a racket of child exploitation that is being run out of Winter Wonderland– one of the busiest theme parks in Florida. They say that it’s a place where nothing bad can happen, but JT would beg to differ. However, he’s gotten mixed up with the mob in Miami and things are about to hit the fan.

Lori is closing in on JT but has no idea of the situation that he’s in. She does know one thing: she has exactly three days to get JT and bring him back to Florida so that he can be tried in court. However, once she gets him in custody, everyone else that was gunning for him is suddenly on their tail. Now Lori is regretting more than ever the decision to bring her daughter– how did she think this was ever going to work out okay?

When Lori and her daughter are ambushed out of nowhere, things suddenly take a drastic turn for the worse. What will they do and how can this bounty hunter figure out how to put things right? You will have to read Steph Broadribb’s debut, Deep Down Dead, to find out!

Deep Blue Trouble is the exciting sequel to Deep Down Dead, the fast-paced and thrilling first book in the Lori Anderson series. If you loved the action of the debut story, then you certainly have a good chance of really liking this book.

Lori Anderson is a single mother working to support her daughter and herself in Florida. She’s a bounty hunter that has gotten herself into a lot of trouble with her recent jobs and dealing with Dakota’s illness. Even though her daughter is now back safe and sound, it seems that her cancer may be on the verge of coming back.

More than ever, Lori thinks that she may need JT’s help. Now she has found out that her former mentor is not only the person who taught her all that she knows, but he’s the father of her child. Now he is locked up behind bars and is on his way to death row as a result of horrible circumstances.

Knowing what she knows now, Lori will do whatever she can to save him from this situation. She makes a deal to take a job off of the books from the last person she should be dealing with– Alex Monroe, faithful servant to the FBI.

Her job is to bring back a felon and she’ll get JT released from jail, no strings attached. Going to California, Lori must team up with a bounty hunter that works locally there. Dez and Lori are not natural allies and their tension is distracting.

Lori needs to get results or JT can kiss freedom goodbye. Can she crack the case, or will she lose it all? Read Deep Blue Trouble, the second novel in the Anderson series by Broadribb, to find out!
