Can’t Take That Away is the debut novel from Steven Salvatore. Carey Parker holds dreams of becoming a diva, the kind that can bring the house down with song. They can hit every note on the top hits from Broadway as well as the radio, but they have some emotional scars that make it hard to find their voice. An incident with a homophobic clasmate as well as dealing with their grandmother’s dementia are only making things harder for them. That all changes when Carey meets Cris, a singer/guitarist.

The rush of the promising new relationship helps Carey feel seen of the first time in their entire life and gives them the confidence to audition for the school musical. However, the audition will set off a chain of prejudice reaction from Carey’s homophobic classmate and other classmates. Now, Carey, Cris, and their friends must team up to defend their rights. They won’t be silenced.

And They Live… is the second book from Salvatore. The story follows a budding animator named Chase Arthur. The author is obsessed with Disney films and finding true love, but he believes that he’s not attractive enough to find that. Chase has body dysmorphia fueled by his father and is also recovering from an eating disorder, while also struggling with his gender identity. Chase begins his freshman year of college where he is away from home, trying to find friends, and competing against his ex-best friend for an exclusive mentorship.

Things change when Chase meets Jack Reid. He is a poet who long to experience life outside of the sheltered one he grew up in. Chase throws everything into question for Jack, but Jack is still discovering his sexual identity. He grew up in a conservative family and has a lot of internalized homophobia from his family and childhood friend. When they visit the campus, it could destroy this budding relationship. Chase must learn to love himself as well as to be enough for himself as he discovers what it means to truly live.

A Supercut of Us will be the third book from Steven Salvatore. The story follows twins who each have their own way of dealing with their father’s incarceration then death. As they deal with the fallout from that event in their lives, one of the siblings discovers a third sibling and decide to keep them from their self. They don’t tell their twin, even after the sibling moves to their town.
