Susan Lewis is an author of fiction.
Lewis was born in the United Kingdom on January 1, 1956 in Bristol. Her father was Welsh and was employed as a miner. In addition, he was an engineer, a poet, and thinker. When her mother was twenty years old, she got her father to buy a ring in place of a motorcycle and they were all a normal happy family from then on out.
Her mother decided that their family was going to do even better, so the writer was signed up to take elocution lessons, ballet, piano, and went to private school. Her brother was also encouraged to do the same.
When she was nine, her mother passed away with cancer. Their father stayed unwed after. Susan went to boarding school, an outsider among the many students with rich parents that attended there. She wanted to be home, but it was the best option for her at the time. She didn’t want to stay, though, and got expelled on purpose. It did take some time and she did enjoy trying to get kicked out at least.
She lived back in the house at just 13 with her brother and father, she escaped private school. However, she says that many of her teenage years were painful. She eventually worked in Bristol at an HTV job at the age of eighteen years old. Four years later, she moved to work for Thames in London.
She started out as a secretary working in news as well as current affairs. Lewis then trained to become a production assistant, moving on to work in entertainment and forms of light drama. She had a love for drama that ended up being mixed with her ambition. This caused her to knock on the door of the Controller to ask them what they could do in order to become a producer. The answer that she got was essentially to go and write herself.
Susan Lewis has done very well in her literary career and several novels later, she only regrets that none of her books have been yet optioned to make it to the silver screen or even television as adaptations. She left television to become a novelist and did the typical thing that she thought prudent, which is to buy a home in the south of France complete with a swimming pool.
It was happiness in totality for the first season of summer that she was there. Then quite a lot went on, including a love affair with an individual that ended up being one of the most wanted by the FBI. The pound also decided to lose value and the author realized that full time living in France did have its differences to a vacation for two weeks on holiday on a yacht on the Riviera.
The glamorous life of the yachts and French living was wonderful, and there were plenty of interesting people to speak with. It all returned once summer arrived, but there were many months that stretched in between them. It was all too much to bear and the artist decided to return to the sunny state of California.
She got herself a Mercedes to share with her dogs as well as a house that sat up in the hills with perfect views of the sunset each night an a pool to swim in. She decided to try and navigate her way through Hollywood, but ultimately realized that Tinsel Town was not going to be waiting for her to show up. From then on she just had more fun, going on dates and attending glam parties and movie screenings.
This author was constantly brushing elbows with stars. She was neighbors with George Clooney and had even had Nicolas Cage over to her house. She saw Steve Martin while walking her dog. She had a number of romances, while some dreams ended up being destined to come true while still others ended up being hopelessly crushed.
She spent seven years in Hollywood but faced losing her English touch. She moved with her dogs to Wiltshire to live for a period of two years and adjusting to the culture there, which included cocktails by the fire at night instead of the sunsets and more.
Susan Lewis is the author of the Detective Andee Lawrence series. This fictional series kicked off in 2014 with the release of the first book, Behind Closed Doors. The second book in the series quickly followed along with a third and a fourth.
Behind Closed Doors is the first book in the Detective Andee series. If you’re looking for a good new mystery novel to sink your teeth into, then check out this intriguing debut for yourself!
Sometimes life can change from how it is to something else in the blink of an eye. A second is all that it takes. Sophie Monroe is 14 years old when she goes missing one night. The first assumption is that the teen has run away, however, her phone and computer have disappeared and she’s taken clothes with her.
A police investigation may end up turning up a ton of secrets. As the community has plenty to hide, not everyone is going to be thrilled at all of the secrets making it out to the light of day. It may very well be that everyone is guilty of something– they’re all acting like they have things to hide.
Andrea Lawrence is a Detective Sergeant that has been assigned to the case. It’s a shame, because it only reminds her of how her own family was torn apart two decades ago. Is there more to this than just rebellion? It’s up to this detective to find out. Pick up this book to discover how it ends!
The Girl Who Came Back is the second book in this series. Jules Bright is surprised when a detective shows up knocking at her door. The news is bad. Amelia Quentin, it turns out, is getting out of prison.
Jules has to decide between revenge or deciding whether she can live with the fear and try to overcome it. Which will she choose, and is she truly in danger? Or is it the other way around? Read this book to find out!
