Susan Trombley was born a dragon, but was forced to take a human form in order to fit into those tiny little baby carriers. She just accepted that she would have to live a mortal life, but just was not going to go around and be all boring about it.

Just as soon as she became old enough, she immediately applied for her alien abduction, but got wait-listed, so made her lair out in the desert to wait out the coming zombie apocalypse with a couple of magical cats able to appear underfoot in an instant, typically at the steps. When Lilith gets arrested for a crime that she did not commit and tossed into a secret prison facility, she is horrified to learn that her cellmate’s a demon. However Ranove isn’t the monster that she thought he was. The fact that he is an alien rather than the supernatural demon does not make him any less dangerous. The winged, alpha warrior comes from a much more primitive culture than Lilith’s, and he isn’t accustomed to compromising.

He escapes imprisonment, taking her with him, her efforts to get away from him are futile, however he does offer up a choice. She can accept his offer of protection and become his concubine or continue to be his prisoner. Ranove promises her a pleasure unlike anything that she has known ever before, and the temptation is too much to resist.

However not everybody in Ranove’s city of Sanctuary is happy with this arrangement. Or, for that matter, with having a human among them. Enemies are lurking in the shadows, just waiting for the right time to strike.

“Balfor’s Salvation” is the second novel in the “Shadows in Sanctuary” series and was released in the year 2016.
