Susette Williams
Susette Williams enjoys writing in various genres; anything from suspense, romance, and mystery to name just a few. She typically cannot resist the urge to allow her ornery sense of humor shine through in one of her characters and is a firm believer that laughter helps you deal with the obstacles that life puts in your way.
It’s her desire to write fast paced novels which readers are going to devour and be hungry for reading more. Her books are sure to delight and entertain readers.
Susette married her hero in the year 1983, and together they’ve got six wonderful kids, each with different and intriguing personalities, just like the characters that she creates in her novels.
Besides her kids and grandchildren, she enjoys writing, and has won a lot of acclaim, including becoming a USA Today and Amazon Bestselling Author.
“Something About Sam” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2006. Having lost the family ranch due to her parents untimely death and all their past debts, Samantha Marlow’s forced to find a job for the first time in her entire life. Accustomed to using her nickname, Sam, she’s hired as a cook, based solely off of her resume, site unseen.
Jake Dampier needs somebody to manage his household as he manages his ranch. He never anticipated that his foreman would just hire somebody without actually interviewing them in person, particularly somebody as beautiful and young as Sam is. The very last thing that he wants is some distraction, however it might turn out to be exactly what he needs.
“Falling in Love” is the first novel in the “Seasons of the Heart” series and was released in 2012. Katie Morgan has got her future all planned out. It does not include getting serious about anybody before achieving her goals, not even her handsome boss. Just because she does not have any time to date, does not mean that her boss shouldn’t. Her new mission: to make her boss happy, whether or not he wants to be.
Wade McAlester fell in love with Katie the day she walked into his clinic looking for work. He hired her, content to settle just for friendship until she lives out her own dream of becoming a vet. Against his own better judgment, Wade lets her fix him up with a couple of her friends. The dates go horribly. He cannot believe the type of women that Katie seems to believe he would enjoy spending his life with.
But when Dr. Laura Redmond, Wade’s old colleague, shows up, Katie’s rethinking exactly how happy she wants her boss to be, and with whom. Certainly not this gorgeous doctor.
“Deadly Business” is the first novel in the “Maid For Murder” series and was released in 2012. Bailey inherits her grandpa’s business, Maid For You, however cleaning up dead body parts was not a part of the job description. She hopes to wipe out crime with help from Nate, her computer hacker assistant, despite all the protests of their involvement in the case from Detective Max Wellington.
While the threads of deceit unravel, the murders start breaking out just like a case of Bubonic Plague. Bailey uncovers corruption, deception, and just a few secrets which might forever change her life.
Bailey’s a Christian that struggles to stay on the path that she knows is the right one, fighting against the temptation of the hunky Detective Max Wellington, who’d like nothing more than to take her into protective custody, for more than merely interfering in police business.
“Honorable Intentions” is the second stand alone novel and was released in 2013. Have you ever wished you had a second chance with somebody?
Brand Stanford married Monica since she claimed she was carrying his child. Their marriage was one of convenience, at least for her anyway. When they’d finally became a happy family, Monica got killed in a skiing accident. Now, Brand is faced with having to raise their three year old daughter all on his own.
Tessa Dugan’s family had been lifelong friends with the Stanfords; and even stayed in contact with them after she moved out of state. Tessa kept secrets to herself for almost ten years. She had loved Brand for almost as long as she could remember.
Tessa, having raised a son all on her own, knows just what it is like to be a single parent. When Brand’s wife dies in a skiing accident, she agrees to help Brand’s mom take care of his three year old during the summer. Could it be a chance for them to start over again? Or is Brand going to break her heart the second time around?
“Jessie’s Bride” is the first novel in the “Mail Order Brides” series and was released in 2014. Jessie Kincaid does not plan on following in any of his three older brother’s footsteps, which seems to include being bachelors. There may be twice as many men as women in their town, yet there are still other ways to go about finding, or even competing, for a wife.
Jessie starts writing to Sarah Engle in the hopes that she is going to become his mail order bride. Even though there are miles between them, he feels like he is connected to her. He sends money to her, along with a stage coach ticket, so that she can come to see him in order for them to get married.
Not everybody’s happy with their choice to get married. When the preacher told them, til death do you part, did he mean literally? Or can a groom and his mail order bride actually have a happily ever after ending?
There’s a lot of emotion in this very short and sweet, clean story. Susette does a fantastic job of using her words and pages wisely, and lets you know quite a bit about these characters. Readers loved this storyline and its ending, and were captivated in this right from the very start of the story. Fans of the book loved these characters and look forward to reading the rest of the series.
