Sylvia Browne
Sylvia Browne, born October 19, 1936, was a world famous psychic and a number one New York Times bestselling author.

She made regular appearances on Coast to Coast AM, Larry King Live, That’s Incredible!, and The Montel Williams Show and made countless other public and media appearances. She also hosted her own hour-long online radio show on Hay House Radio, where she would perform readings and discuss paranormal issues. Sylvia was the founder of the Society of Novus Spiritus, a church.

She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Celeste Shoemaker and William Lee. Her dad held many different jobs, working at times in jewelry sales, mail delivery, and as a vice president of a major freight line. Sylvia was raised mainly as a Catholic, and was said to have an Episcopalan mom, a Lutheran maternal grandma, a Jewish dad, and relatives from all of these faiths.

She claimed she began having visions at the age of five, and that her grandma, who she claimed also was a psychic medium, helped her understand their meaning. She claimed that her great-uncle was a psychic medium and he was “rabid about UFOs”.

While living in Kansas City, Sylvia shared her gift with family and friends, and was well-known for helping people to see their future.

In 1964, she moved to California, where she continued to help people privately. She wanted to make a legally sanctioned and professional organization to further her own research into the paranormal. It was realized in 1974 when she incorporated The Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research, a non-profit organization (which is currently known as Sylvia Browne Corporation).

Since this time, she helped thousands of people gain control of their own lives, live much more happily, comprehend the meaning of life, and find God in their own special way.

Sylvia’s philosophy of life was based on research into past lives, via hypnosis and through the information she got through her deep trance channeling ability. From the hundreds of trance sessions and thousands of hypnotic regressions, the fact of reincarnation was established as the key to understanding all of life. She accepted reincarnation as one of the central themes in her philosophy, but she never forced this belief upon anybody that didn’t want to hear it.

She was pro-God, but never forced the issue. She would tell people that it didn’t matter whether or not they believed in God, for God believes in them.

In 1986, she founded the Society of Novus Spiritus based on a Christian Gnostic theology. She trained ministers to actively spread her philosophy. Her goals were to shelter the homeless, aid the infirm, and establish a spiritual community that loves God without the guilt and sin found in the majority of faiths today.

Sylvia also had The Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Center. It was formed as an accredited organization to teach individuals her proven and unique hypnosis methods for either personal or professional use as a power tool in behavior modification or healing.

Sylvia began giving psychic readings in the year 1974. In 2008, she was charging $750 for a twenty to thirty-minute phone session.

She had cultivated a huge following. In the year 2007, there was a four year long waiting list for readings by telephone. That same year, hundreds of people joined her on a cruise, each one of them paying thousands of dollars for psychic readings.

She has over fifty books published resulting from all her research into parapsychology. 22 of these works appeared on the New York Times Bestsellers List. Her work is non-fiction, paranormal, and spiritual.

She was married four times to Gary Dufresne (which lasted from 1959 until 1972), Kenzil Dalzell Brown, Larry Lee Beck, and Michael Ulery. She had two sons, Paul and Christopher, from her first marriage to Gary. She took the last name of Brown upon her third marriage, and later on, changed it to Browne. Her last marriage was to Michael, a jewelry store owner, which took place February 14, 2009.

Sylvia died November 20, 2013 in San Jose, California at the age of 77.

“Soul’s Perfection” is the second book in the “Journey of the Soul” series and was released in the year 2000. At many times keeping our lives in perspective is tough for anybody, but is especially difficult around the holidays. We get overwhelmed and forget about what truly matters. What should really be a time of reflection and celebration becomes a time of stress that has very little to do with spirituality.

Now, Sylvia Browne has put together her own beautiful inspirational book to help readers get into the spirit of the holidays by reminding each of them of the love and joy that surrounds everybody in the Afterlife. With chapters on Celebrations and Anniversaries, Forgiveness, Life’s Purpose, and Family, among others, she tells stories about those people she’s helped and imparts some indelible lessons of the Other Side that could make our life here on planet Earth a bit more healthier, happier, and even more spiritually fulfilling.

“End of Days” is a non-fiction book and was released in the year 2008. The Rapture. The Apocalypse. The End of Days. Humans have been concerned for a long time with the ultimate clash of civilizations, however, never more so than now. The world has become quite the scary place with global terrorism, religious wars, and genocide in the news. Thanks to the Internet, the Information Age ushered in the Anxiety Age. Who better to lead the way out for us than Sylvia Browne, the most popular psychic working today?

Sylvia tackles the most daunting of subjects with her trademark wisdom, serenity, and clarity. She never shies away from the most difficult and daunting predictions about what is going to happen with the human race. Throughout, she comments on every End of Days prophecy and prediction that have people speculate that the end is coming near.

For anybody who has ever wondered about where we are headed, and what, if anything, we can do in order to prevent a catastrophe of biblical proportions, this is a must-read.
