T. C. Edge (or Toby to his friends) grew up in the lush green countryside of Southern England with three brothers and two parents, as well as a whole farmyard’s worth of animals. He spent his childhood wishing that he could either be a Super Saiyan or a Jedi. Or some sort of superhero. But in the end, he decided that such things were not possible and decided to satisfy himself as a writer instead.

Toby, as an avid movie fan, likes creating highly cinematic books where he is truly able to allow his imagination to run wild. So instead of penning stories that are based in the ‘real world’, he creates his own worlds, casting his mind ahead hundreds of years to present readers with alternate visions of the future. His dystopian realities are typically brutal and harsh, and typically contain characters with wonderful powers and abilities.

“The Enhanced” is the first novel in the “Enhanced” series and was released in the year 2016. She was created via genetic engineering. Now they want her dead. In a society where the genetically enhanced rule over everything, Brie Melrose just wanted to blend in. unfortunately, for a girl that had a secret past, getting hunted by the authorities, and hidden by her guardian that had raised her as an orphan, that is impossible.

Life in Outer Haven, where the Unenhanced live, is a simple existence for Brie. Care for all the other orphans. Keep her head down. And above all, do not attract any unnecessary attention to yourself. One day, though, a routine job turns into something much more complicated, and Brie finds she is under the Savants’ watchful eye, they are the highest order of the Enhanced.

Blessed with their supreme intellect, they consider emotions to be rather pointless. While in some cases, quite dangerous. Pretty soon, she is about to get invited into Inner Haven, the sanctuary of the Enhanced where she will come into contact with some dangerous and odd folks.

People that want things from her, and know some things about her past. And before too long, threats that she never even knew existed are going to start closing in, and she will learn that her world, along with the city of Haven, is not exactly what she believed it was. Neither was she.

“Hybrid” is the second novel in the “Enhanced” series and was released in the year 2017. Brie’s still in shock, while standing in the church just outside the city. She has got a brother, a twin. She is not all alone after all.

Her world is changing quickly. And soon, it is going to be her turn. While her powers start manifesting and her training starts, Brie finds herself attempting to juggle her changing body with the mission she’s on. A mission that she does not fully comprehend.

Soon, the truth of what she has been tasked with doing is going to dawn. And while another attack from the Fanatics rocks the city, she finds herself being drawn into making a horrible decision. Take a life to save a life. And possibly help stop a war.

“Nameless” is the third novel in the “Enhanced” series and was released in the year 2017. Waking up on the edge of the lake, out beyond the perimeter wall, Brie must think fast. She is lost, by herself, and surrounded by this toxic mist. And before long, she will have plenty of other threats she will have to contend with as well.

Needing to get back to the city rapidly, she sets her sights on the High Tower, the beacon which calls her back home. And eventually, it is right to the summit that she needs to go.

However first, she has got other business to attend to, business that is going to take her from the core of Inner Haven and to the northern reaches of the underlands. And while a new enemy is revealed, Brie realizes that her already impossible mission has gotten that much harder. And the clock is beginning to tick faster.

“Assassin” is the fourth novel in the “Enhanced” series and was released in the year 2017. The door’s opening for Brie, and now is her time to walk on through it. She must find a way, and she’ll have to do it fast.

Brie’s married Adryan, finally. She has finally made it to the High Tower. And now, there is nothing to do but complete her mission. Surrounded by enemies, she quickly finds that she has got very few friends in her new home. And within just a single day of arriving, she is facing tests of her new powers that’ll make or break the mission.

While tensions start boiling over in both Outer, and Inner, Haven, events play out that could just make her job even tougher. And with nobody else to help her out, it is down to her, and her new husband, to figure out a way to the summit. The race is on.

“The Song of the First Blade” is the first novel in the “Bladeborn” series and was released in the year 2020. A treacherous king, an ancient evil, and a mystery dating back to the fall of the gods.
