Tamar Sloan is an award-winning and bestselling author of dystopian and paranormal romance fiction work who also works a day job as a registered psychologist. As such, she spent most of her days working as a school psychologist and her weekends and evenings writing her stories.
As for her early beginnings, Sloan was born in Israel and now makes her home in Australia. For this reason, she usually blames her many slip-ups in English on the fact that until she was ten, she used to speak Hebrew and it was only when she arrived in Australia that she learned English.

Like many novelists, Tamar Sloan is a lover of books and has an extensive library in her home with a ton of paranormal romance fiction works to boot.

Tamar now finds it deeply rewarding to share her many stories. She loves hearing from her fans and readers on all things book-related and can usually be found on social media profiles on Goodreads, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
As for her inspiration, Tamar Sloan has often quoted “The Twilight” series, which was the inspiration for her bestselling “Prime Prophecy” series.

She believes the many images of werewolves she cannot get out of her head are primarily from the chart-busting works of Stephenie Meyer.

Sloan’s love for romance began way back in adolescence but unlike most authors, she never thought she would come to pen some of the stories she loved to read by torchlight under the covers, deep into the night.

However, life threw her a curveball, and one day, she woke up from a dream with an idea she just could not get out of her mind. After much cursing and driven by passion, she wrote “Make it Count” her debut work and the first of the “Love Wins” series of novels in 2017.
Over several years, she has become a USA Today bestselling author including winning several prestigious awards. Some of the awards she has won include the Molly Award in 2015, and the First Kiss competition by the Romance Writers of Australia in 2015.

Tamar Sloan has now published more than seventy works of fiction and is not slowing down any time soon. Since she works as a school psychologist and teacher, writing young adult fiction is a passion that she turned into something to make money on the side.
On the other hand, she always loved the power of connection and hence it was inevitable that romance would be central in her writing.

Even though she makes good money from her novels, she loves working as a psychologist and hence she will not be leaving her day job any time soon.

Outside of her reading and writing, she is the owner of the “PsychWriter” platform where she writes non-fiction. The blog is all about the complementary areas of psychology and writing. The platform also offers consultancy and editing services and hence she is a very busy woman.
When she is not being a writer or nerd, she can be found out on the farm with her boys and her husband. She loves enjoying the Aussie sun, feeding her horses or doing some garden work.

Tamar Sloan’s novel “Rising” is a work that has been compared to “The 100” and “The Hunger Games” that combines aspects of “The Breakfast Club” and “Ender’s Game.”

The novel is set in a world in which all the solar caps have melted and everything is becoming toxic not only to humans, but also to multiple other organisms on earth.

It is a break from the usually young adult dystopian work of fiction that comes with a particularly accurate, even if depressing depiction of what will become of the Earth if humans do not take corrective action.

Nova and Kina the love of her life live in a world split into “The Unbound” and “The Bound” on the beached cruise ship. The fate of the Bound is to take important positions and continue the human race, while the Unbound can’t reproduce and have to make do with lowly work on the Oasis.
Both groups had to go through “The Proving” and everything had been going right until a stranger from outside “The Oasis” came ashore and wanted to participate in “The Proving.”

The focus of the story is teenagers Wren, Nova, Shiloh, Kian, Felicia, Fern, and Thom. For the most part, Wren, Kian, and Nova are the focus of this narrative told in the third person perspective.

“Breaking” by Tamar Sloan is a work set following the events of the previous novel of “The Thaw Chronicles.” After the “Proving,” the four lead characters face a very unexpected future.

Wren, Dex, and Kian are now Boun, but their friend Nova is Unbound and the latter has a lot of challenges to deal with. Her world has been upended and she has to live without Kian and has no purpose in life.

As for Kian, he is torn between his love for Nova and his duty to Askala. Meanwhile, Dex has discovered some secrets that will change his entire perspective while Wren is continuing with her plans that could forever change their world.
The four barely have gotten the results of “The Proving” before some strangers begin arriving from the Outlands, and they find themselves having to make some tough decisions that could change the future of Askala.

It is an emotional story and even though they find it hard to land upon their roles, they soon unearth some secrets that will inform them of changes they need to effect if Askala is to survive. It is a novel that will come with some very interesting and shocking plot twists that you will never see coming.

Tamar Sloan’s novel “Falling” is the third of “The Thaw Chronicles” series of novels that continues to follow Wren, Nova, Dex, and Kian who are the chosen ones that have the authority to breed.

But they also have divided hearts and now do not know what they are fighting for. They live in a society that was intended to mold human evolution and the future of the Earth of the chosen was to be determined by the smartest and kindest to make Askala a beacon of hope in a desecrated and flooded world.

However, the line between the Unbound and the Bound is getting blurred and the Outlands is no longer some faceless and distant world. The people they are facing have a leader who knows a lot more about them than anyone they ever faced before.
In a world destroyed by global warming, it has never been more dangerous to fight for survival and the battle in Askala may just determine the fate of humanity.
