About Tara Ellis

An American writer, Tara Ellis is known for writing for younger readers and creating richly inventive science-fiction novels. Setting herself apart in a separate league of her own, she has established herself as a hugely successful author with something to say. Taking her fiction in inventive new, interesting directions, she would constantly push the boundaries of the format. Her approach has evolved, allowing her to become the household name she is today for many worldwide.

A natural-born storyteller, Ellis has always been interested in exploring the full depths of her imagination and putting it on the page. Creating rich and immersive worlds, she’d always look for new and exciting ideas to draw out and find deeper meaning. This approach has continued for much of her life, as she’s dedicated to her craft. Letting the work speak for itself, she understands what she’s trying to say and do with it all.

Throughout her work, she’s also created a colorful and vibrant cast of characters that really leap out from the page. Managing to really deliver, each of her protagonists has really been in a league of their own, as they keep the readers coming back for more. Not only that, but many of their arcs are ongoing, leaving a strong imprint on the reader long after they’ve put the book down. Early and Personal Life

Born and raised in Texas, Tara Ellis always had a strong fascination with the written word, continually reading and writing for most of her life. This interest would be something that she would develop from early on, building upon it over the years as she came to make a name for herself. Finding her voice in time, she would eventually become a writer in her own right, making her own mark on the literary world.

In third grade, she would write her first full novel on a typewriter, and she’s continued to refine and hone her craft since then. Previously working as a firefighter and as an EMT, she’s served in various capacities over the years while also working within the medical field for some time. Currently living in Washington State in a small town, along with spending time in the Pacific Northwest, she continues to write to this very day, living with her family.

Writing Career

The first book that Tara Ellis would write was titled ‘Infected,’ and it was also the first in the ‘Forgotten Origins Trilogy.’ It would soon be followed up with ‘Heritage’ released later that year, and then ‘Descent’ published the following year in 2014. Other series that she would write were the ‘Samantha Wolf Mysteries,’ ‘Flashpoint,’ ‘Broken Tide,’ and ‘Extinction,’ to name just a few.

She would also write with her fellow author Mike Kraus, who himself has produced numerous science-fiction books and series. Maintaining a strong presence on and off social media, she has become a huge name for many throughout her field. As her presence continues to grow, she will also carry on her success as an author, building her audience both nationally and internationally.

Descent

Originally published in 2014, this first came out on the 30th of September through the Kindle publishing platform. Released to much anticipation, it would be the third and final book in the ‘Forgotten Origins Trilogy,’ finishing up the series overall. A dystopian science-fiction saga, it’s epic in both its sense of scope and scale, making for an effective finale to the entire series.

Returning to Earth, an ancient ruler forces everyone to choose sides, and it is up to Alex to lead the resistance against them. Not just an enemy, The Shiners wear the faces of loved ones, concealing the twisted killers that they are underneath it all. Battling against her emotions, Alex hopes to find the truth, rising above all the darkness that lurks beneath everything. Will she manage to lead the resistance, can they keep their head above water, and what will become of them as they make the descent?

There’s so much going on here, but Tara Ellis manages to keep everything perfectly balanced, never once losing the thread. It’s a conclusive ending that really delivers on every level, being highly exciting, with lots of character development along the way. Giving the readers what they want, it also offers many surprises, making for an engaging page-turner that keeps the audience constantly reading.

Spread of Extinction

First coming out on the 7th of May in 2021, this was to be the fourth book in the ‘Extinction’ series of science-fiction novels. Following directly on from the previous three books, it would also pave the way for the next two, with the series consisting of six books in total. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where the last of society battles for survival, it’s best that they’re read in order so as to get the most from them.

The true effects of the Kra Puru are being made known all over the world now, as a final desperate plan is made to save everyone hopefully. With a series of major catastrophes, survivors are racing against the clock in a battle for survival, as they must adapt to the new world around them. Fighting against some highly dangerous enemies, the last of humanity must do whatever it takes to survive, fighting to see another day. Will they manage to save themselves and humanity, can they defeat the enemies in the path, and what will happen as they face the spread of extinction?

It’s another exciting, action-packed installment in the ever-thrilling franchise from author Tara Ellis, as she really delivers here. Providing lots of action once again, she takes the series in new and exciting directions, as the reader’s constantly left wondering what’s coming next. It’s well-paced as well, with some highly engaging characters to ground the story, allowing the audience to relate to them and their plight.
