Tara Grayce
Author Tara Grayce was born and raised in Michigan and loves traveling to new adventures which inspire her writing. She writes humorous fantasy with a side dish of romance. Tara’s also written YA fantasy and romantic fantasy that is filled with a ton of humor, tough and spunky leading ladies, and broken heroes.

While growing up, she read just about every single book she could get her hands on, particularly from the fantasy genre.

When Tara’s not writing, she is playing her chocolate lab Miss Kisses and renovating her hundred year old farmhouse.

“Lost in Averell” is the first novel in the “Princess by Night” series and was released in the year 2019. Average high school student by day, princess by night.

Amy lives in our world as well as in the fantasy world of Averell, and the entire time, she struggles to balance her homework with her duties as a fairy tale princess, negotiating the intricacies of unicorn-dragon politics.

When Amy’s high school crush stumbles through the portal and into the fantasy land of Averell located in her family’s basement, she sets out with her shape-shifting unicorn best friend in order to find him. Either before he dies or sparks a war.

“Fierce Heart” is the first novel in the “Elven Alliance” series and was released in the year 2019. Essie would do anything she had to for her kingdom. Even marry an elf prince that she just met that morning.

When a diplomatic meeting goes terribly wrong, a human princess named Essie, finds she is married to Laesornysh, an elf prince and warrior. Fitting in to the serene, quiet elf culture could be a bit tough for this rather talkative princess, however she is determined to try and make it work.

With tenuous alliances and impending war, it’s going to be up to Essie to unite her two peoples. And possibly get her hands on some elven conditioner while she is at it.

Readers found this to be such an adorable story and enjoyed every single moment of it. It is such a fun take on elves, with the shampoo thing being rather hilarious. Farrendel is an outstanding character and it’s great how well he and Essie get along. Essie too is a wonderful character, with how practical she is and her own determination to make the best of the situation. Their budding romance is adorable, and this world and the stakes here are supremely well done.

“War Bound” is the second novel in the “Elven Alliance” series and was released in the year 2020. Marriage to an elf is complex, especially bringing him back home to meet your family.

Princess Elspeth of Escarland married an elf prince and achieved some peace between her human people and the elves. However after the recent ambush by the trolls, it’s clear that the trolls are attempting to start a war between the humans and the elves yet again. Farrendel and Essie, to keep their peoples at peace, meet Essie’s family and negotiate a peace.

But in Escarland, not everybody is happy with this peace. Traitors are lurking in both Tarenhiel and Escarland, and it’ll be up to Farrendel and Essie to flush them out. The repercussions of failure may be more lethal and personal than they are fearing.

“Death Wind” is the third novel in the “Elven Alliance” series and was released in the year 2020. Essie should really be planning out her happily ever after, but not planning a war.

Even though they were formerly enemies, the elves of Tarenhiel and the humans of Escarland have allied up to battle the trolls coming from the far north. However alliances can be tricky things even during the best of times, and with Farrendel, the elves’ foremost warrior and Essie’s husband, gets captured by the trolls, the circumstances look rather dire indeed.

However Essie refuses to give up, and she’ll make her two peoples work with each other to battle this war if it is the very last thing she does. One way or another, she is going to get Farrendel back, no matter what it takes.

“Troll Queen” is the fourth novel in the “Elven Alliance” series and was released in the year 2021. Essie’s got her elf back, however his mind is still trapped in that dungeon.

The war has ended, and a peace treaty’s been signed. However Essie and Farrendel have still got a battle ahead of them. Is Farrendel going to be able to build a new life with Essie now that he no longer has to fight a war?

Not only has Melantha ruined her own life but the lives of those around her. Now that she finds herself far away from home and married to this troll that was formerly her captor and enemy, can she figure out what honor and love truly mean before it’s too late for each and every one of them?

Not everybody in Kostaria is happy with the peace or with their new elven queen. If Melantha and Rharreth can’t find a way to bring peace to their troubled kingdom, war threatens not just their happily ever after, but Farrendel and Essie’s too.

“Pretense” is the fifth novel in the “Elven Alliance” series and was released in the year 2021. Essie and Farrendel are living out their happily ever after, until Farrendel’s biggest secret leaks out to the Escarlish press.

With his reputation set to be ruined forever, they race to do some damage control. But, there is an even bigger danger that is lurking behind this leak, threatening even more than just Farrendel’s reputation.

Prince Edmund of Escarland, in order to save his brother-in-law and rescue the alliance, proposes a fake courtship to Jalissa, the elf princess that has broken his heart two different times, even if she’s not aware of it.

Edmund and Jalissa struggle to unravel this conspiracy, save Farrendel, and try to keep their fake romance from getting all too real. It may be a lot more than this elf princess and spy prince can handle.
