Benner makes her home in Colorado Springs where she lives with her partner and their pets. She can often be found at her local coffeshop writing. When she is not working she enjoys the outdoors and doing activities like hiking and running. Tarah is an INFJ on the Myers Briggs Personality Test. In addition to reading, Benner also enjoys Harry Potter, Veronica Mars, and Outlander.

Aether Witch is the first book in the Witches of Mountain Shadow series. The story follows two witches known as the Grimes sisters – Fiona and Eleanor. The two are not what anyone consider normal, even the other witches. Fiona is haunted by visions of death while Eleanor sees restless spirits everywhere. They live in a place called Mountain Shadow, a strange place where many believe that there are curses. Now, a series of murders have taken place in the town. The coven is worried that a fellow witch may be responsible for the deaths. Worse, a witch hunter has made his way to town and he believes that the coven is responsible. The killer has Eleanor in their sights as the next victim and the witches must team up with an unlikely ally to stop the killer before they take one of their own.

The Witches of Mountain Shadow series continues with Demon Witch. The book picks up after the events as the first book as Fiona just wants things to get back to normal. However, that is unlikely to happen as the town and coven remain in turmoil. Fiona is attacked by a demonic veil which leads to her uncovering a tear in the veil. Demons have been escaping the Underworld and Fiona is the only one who can stop them. Only she doesn’t know anything about slaying demons. To figure it all out, she’ll need to rely on Gabriel’s help even as the trust between the two is shaky at best.

Colony One is the first book in The Elderon Chronicles series. Jonah Wyatt is getting his last shot at a military career with the Space Force. He was discharged from the army and saw his career fizzle out after that. Now, he’s getting a second chance in space. He is given the job to train a unit on Elderon: colony one. The only problem is that his recruits are a bunch of hackers and eggheads, not exactly military material. One of the recruits is an undercover reporter named Maggie Barnes who has gotten wind of a big story that Elderon may not be all that it seems. She’ll get close to uncovering the truth just as Wyatt begins to suspect that there is a spy on the ship. He’ll find that he is correct and that person is building an army of their own.

The Elderon Chronicles series continues with Colony War. The story picks up after the events of the last book as Jonah and Maggie prepare to fight with the Space Force against an army of bots. They will join forces with a cocky executive named Tripp Van de Graaf who instantly forms an attraction to Maggie. He holds the key to defeating the bots, but they’ll need to act fast if they want to stop a robot apocalypse.

Lawless is the first book in the Lawless Saga. Lark was sentenced to twenty-five years behind bars and ends up at San Judas, a community unlike any other prison. There is no cells or warden, but Mother Mercy is the law. She thought it was her lucky break, but she didn’t realize that she’d be in a fight for her life on a daily basis. Her only friend is Bernie, an environmental activist in for arson, and a stranger from the men’s colony who has been sending her illicit messages. Just as Lark is becoming resigned to her fate in San Judas she gets a message that changes everything. The message says the guards are disappearing and the world outside is coming to an end.

The Defectors is the first in a trilogy of books. A virus leads to the collapse of society and now the survivors are taking part in a mandatory migration across the northern border of the United States. The vaccinated citizens are identified by a microchip which tracks and analyzes their every move. Haven Allis is in the system and like everyone else with the chip is subject to arrest for any suspicious activity. While the undocumented have it much worse, taken to Sector X where they disappear. Haven witnesses this first hand when her best friend Greyson is taken. In order to save him, she’ll go off the grid and discover a budding revolution that will cause her to question everything she believes.

The Fringe series by Benner starts off with Recon. As the best developer in her year, Harper should’ve been a no brainer for great job in Systems. Instead, she is taken into Recon where she goes kicking and screaming. She’s put on Eli’s squad and it is a dangerous position as they head out into the radiation-soaked Fringe. Eli is used to seeing his cadets die and doesn’t get attached to people. Harper should just be another recruit, but she manages to get under his skin. Now, he wants to save her… from herself as she begins asking dangerous questions.

Exposure is the second book in The Fringe series. The story continues after the events of the first book as Eli and Harper are being sent out into the Fringe again. It’s kill or be killed out there, but they find that the real danger is back at the compound. If they wants to survive, they made need to flee to another compound.
