Tasha Black is an American author known for her fictional paranormal or supernatural fantasy stories.
Tasha Black resides in a tiny college town in a huge old Victorian style house. Her passions other than writing fiction include going out and drinking pumpkin spice lattes as soon as September arrives (or as soon as it is an option) as well as reading paranormal romance stories.
Tasha Black is the creator and writer of the Tarker’s Hollow series (which is also known as Fate of the Alpha). The series kicked off in 2014 when the first novel or volume of the series was published. The sequel came out the next year in 2015; that same year Black made the series a trilogy with the release of the third book in the series.

When it comes to Tarker’s Hollow, the residents of this area are in for a wicked surprise. While it’s heading their way, they also have no idea that they are residing in the calm before the storm. There are actually a lot of things that make this town an interesting place to live.
For Ainsley Connor, Tarker’s Hollow is definitely an adjustment. But it’s not just the settings that are tough to adjust to; Connor now has to get used to belonging to a pack and the lifestyle that comes with it. Thankfully, she has her mate standing (or running) by her to offer support and to help her adjust to this new way of life.
With that sense of support, Ainsley definitely feels like she has a bit of strength and power. However, it never pays to let your sense of how things are go to your head, because they could always change. Ainsley feels like no one can beat her, but with a sense of dark magic coming their way and a rising wolf rival posing new threats, she and her mate may have to contend with a new threat– the like of which they have never faced before.
Ainsley also has a history of betrayal. She was once betrayed by a warlock named Julian Magie. Along the way, he also managed to break her heart in the process. But as it turns out, Julian may be the only person that knows how to help her get a handle on the vast stores of magic kept within her.
Ainsley needs to learn how to control the magic that she has been gifted with. But can she ever allow herself to give the warlock another chance to come back into her life? This wolf is going to need to take a risk if she’s going to trust him long enough to have him help her.

If you loved the first installment of the Tarker’s Hollow series, then you’re going to almost certainly enjoy the second installment of the series! Ainsley Connor has been through a lot, and readers saw what she was up against in the debut novel of this series.
She was already having to adjust to a new life, but had her partner to help her through it. Now, she might just be up against one of the hardest things that she’s ever had to face. Her mate has gone, and now it is up to Ainsley to do what she can to defend her land.
Rival wolves are encroaching and it’s up to her to try and keep their territory protected. She’s also at the risk of losing her pack if the hierarchy is not impressed by her efforts, which is a scary idea. As Ainsley still has to contend with dark magic and outside threats, it’s going to be a bumpy ride for this fierce she wolf.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of people that are willing to keep secrets. Erik Jensen came to Copper Creek in order to help out after a disastrous accident in the mines. It’s a shifter town, but when he finds out that there’s a lot more happening there than what you see at first glance, he’s got to make some tough choices about what he’s going to do in this small town– before the local pack figures out his secret and discovers that Erik is not the person that he’s said that he is.
Other people know how tough it can be to reside in a town that’s full of magical people, shifters of shape, wolves, and more. For instance, Grace Kwan-Cortez. However, ever since she met a man named Julian, she can’t seem to shake the feelings that she has for him out of her head. She can’t figure out whether these emotions are real or if he has cast some type of spell on her.
Either way, there’s a lot to contend with in this magical town. Tarker’s Hollow is the type of place that stands out from other towns, and that is precisely because of its population. It’s a small town that’s easily disrupted by threats or changes in social dynamics. That’s where Julian Magie comes in.
Julian has certain information that could end up turning this quiet town completely on its head. Will he choose to keep this information to himself or let it out? The consequences for the hollow– as well as the entire world– could be devastating.
