Originally, author Tasmina Perry was a lawyer, but then made the switch to women’s magazines during the middle part of the nineties. She won New Journalist of the Year Award, and wrote for such publications as Glamour, Marie Claire, and Heat. She even launched her very own style and travel magazine, which she called Jaunt.

During this part of her life, she got to meet actor Brad Pitt and was serenaded by the one and only Julio Iglesias. During her time as an editor for InStyle, she got a book deal with Harper Collins; making the switch from the magazine world to focus on her career as an author.

Perry’s first novel, published with the title of “Daddy’s Girls” (which was published in the year 2006) was a quick success, after it got rave reviews upon its release. Her other novels have been acclaimed as well, with all of the novels she has published have gone on to become Sunday Times bestsellers and her books have gotten published in seventeen countries.

Under the pen name Mia James, her and her husband (who is named John Perry) write a series of vampire novels that is meant for young adults. Her husband is both a writer and ex-editor himself, with whom she lives in London with (they also live with her huge shoe collection).

She regularly contributes to both radio and television, and she was also one of the judges at the P&G beauty awards in the year 2011.

She graduated from Birmingham University with an LLB degree in the field of Law in the year 1990.

“Desire” is the first novel in the “Billionaire Island” series and was released in the year 2015. On a pictureesque island called Angel Cay, during what was supposed to be the perfect summer, four good friends are celebrating the finish of their exams. One night will alter their lives for the rest of their time on Earth.

The years go by and each one pursues interests in different fields: politics, music, and fashion; they only try to put what happened behind them. No matter what they do, however, and how high their stars climb, they are unable to get past the awful truth.

The consequences of what happened that night are going to catch up with them, for one person, there is a big price to pay.

This book was great, as there were many layers to things that made it hard to guess just what would happen next. Fans of the novel found this to be great to read at the beach, as it kept their interest holding strong the whole time. Some felt that they would rather read this interesting book than spend time seeing the sights on their vacations. Some hope that the rest of the series is as juicy as this one was.

“Envy” is the second novel in the “Billionaire Island” series and was released in the year 2016. The talented and beautiful Alex Doyle has it all: gold taps, hit records, and black limos; he is a sex symbol all over the world. It almost feels like every single woman on planet Earth wants to be in bed with him. That being said, he still is not happy; after a tour, he has a scandal in Tokyo, while screwing up one of his affairs in London.

The media believes that he is being hunted by demons, but it is an awful secret that is chasing him. Only three other people (Grace, Sasha, and Miles) in the world know. They are all successful, at least that is what the outside world knows.

Sasha is beautiful and a fashion icon who dresses the stars on the red carpets. Grace is clever and has a blossoming career as a photographer and film maker. Miles is ruthless and owns a club, he is a millionaire that makes deals, and well on the way to the great things in life.

It can all turn sour in an instant, they all realize this, especially as they are hunted by a scandal each one fears.

Some found this to be quite the roller coaster ride, that provided many shocking twists throughout. Some were gripped and excited for the entire ride. It is interesting to see what is going on with these people this time around. Fans of the novel this is a sizzling book to read, and some felt that this one was better than book one, something that is an impressive feat all its own. Here is an author that somehow is able to get better and better each time she puts out a novel. Some wish that they had started reading the books in this series even sooner.

“Revenge” is the third novel in the “Billionaire Island” series and was released in the year 2016. Life seems to be treating the party from Angel Cay pretty well. Alex has gotten out of rehab, Sasha is one of the best in fashion right now, and Grace has settled things with her boyfriend the artist. Miles has a gigantic empire that spans the globe at hand.

It will not last. The curse strikes once more, as Sasha is caught up in a sex scandal. Miles has a casino in Vegas that may just collapse, which would take his billions right on with it. Alex gets beat up pretty bad.

Grace’s family is almost ruined by tragedy number two; it pushes the four back together out of anger, need, and grief. It would appear as though they are being pushed back towards Angel Cay and facing what happened all those years back.

Fans of the novel enjoyed this conclusion to the trilogy, finding that it ended just like it should have. Some will miss these characters, finding that they fueled the crazy and wild ride these stories took them on. This was a sizzling novel that has an ending that kept readers guessing until the finish. Perry is a top shelf author that pens nothing but incredible works of fiction, some hope that all of her work will be this intoxicating. It is interesting reading one of Perry’s novels, because no one else writes their novels like her.
