About Tegan Maher

Primarily writing paranormal mysteries, the American author Tegan Maher has been highly popular for a number of years now. Reaching audiences from around the world, she’s also known for her sense of humor, gaining a following both far and wide. Infusing her work with comedy, she keeps her audience entertained, while constantly guessing as to what’s coming next. Immersing the readers with her rich and imaginative storytelling, she allows the stories and characters to speak for themselves essentially.

Publishing a number of series, she’s hugely versatile, adapting to several different styles, making the format very much her own. A unique voice with her own idiosyncratic niche, Maher sets herself apart from other writers within her field, saying what it is she wants to say. Early and Personal Life

Born and raised in the South, Tegan Maher grew up in the United States, showing a real passion for storytelling from an early age. This interest of hers would continually develop over time, allowing her to really establish her own voice, transforming her into the author she currently is today. Moving around for much of her life as well, she is a motorcyclist as well, travelling across the country extensively.

Putting many of her experiences back into her work, she has a wealth of material to draw from when it comes to writing. Always imaginative, she would have a lot of ambition from an early age, as this perspective of hers would soon become focused on her writing. Currently living in Florida with her two dogs, she still writes to this very day, while also racing motorcycles and reading on the beach.

Writing Career

In 2017 Tegan Maher would begin her literary career with the novel ‘Sweet Murder,’ which was the first in the ‘Witches of Keyhole Lake’ series. These books would be paranormal fantasy novels, setting the template for much of what was soon to follow with her writing. Other series would include the ‘Cori Sloane Witchy Werewolf Mystery’ collection of books, along with the ‘Haunted Lodge Cozy Mystery collection, to name just a few.

Publishing work for a number of different omnibus collections, Maher would also write alongside a variety of other writers as well. Becoming an integral part of the literary community, she’s seen as one of the leading figures currently working within her field. Maintaining a profile, she regularly communicates with her fans, as her audience continually grows with every passing day.

Dressed to Kill

Originally brought out in 2021 on the 3rd of April, this first arrived through the ‘Magical Words Publishing’ imprint. Marking the fifth title in the ongoing ‘Cori Sloane Witchy Werewolf’ series of novels, it continues with another mystery for Cori to solve. Set in a fantasy world filled with paranormal entities, it’s a cozy mystery series with a new investigation with each novel. It has a sense of humor to it as well, making it a light-hearted and easy-to-read novel that keeps the reader glued every step of the way.

The witch and werewolf Cori Sloane is enjoying life as the sheriff of a small town, and especially now that its supernatural inhabitants are being well-behaved. That’s when a fender bender leads to the body of a woman’s ex being found in the trunk, leading to the woman herself being suspected of murder. Now Cori must work to prove the woman’s innocence, all while attempting to discover the secret she’s really hiding. Will she manage to find out the truth in time, can she discover what’s actually going on, and who is really dressed to kill?

As cozy mystery series go this is definitely one of the better ones, with its highly enjoyable and entertaining story. The characters are all fun, with many of their arcs developed and continuing from the previous books featured in the series. With its self-contained mystery as well, it’s very well paced, keeping the reader constantly guessing throughout, right until the final page.

Sconed to Death

First published on the 23rd of September, this would come out on the Kindle publishing platform to a great deal of acclaim. It’s the fourth title in the ongoing ‘Haunted Lodge Cozy Mysteries’ series of novels, carrying on with another self-contained story. Set in the same world using the same characters as before, there’s paranormal elements to it too, as it’s written in a humorous style.

Taking place in a Bed and Breakfast, owner Toni Owens is cleaning the place up, putting some decorations in, such as flower baskets. This then leads to her discovering the owner of the greenhouse dead face-down in among his petunias having been murdered. Now Toni and the rest of her friends must solve the case, while dealing with all manner of snarky ghosts and entities that stalk the hallways of the lodge. Can she find who the real killer is in time, why did they do what they did, and who is behind them being stoned to death?

It’s another fun cozy mystery from Tegan Maher doing what she does best, which is entertaining and enthralling the reader. There are numerous twists along the way, making it perfect for not just fans of the author, but also of the genre as a whole. The books themselves can be read in any particular order too, but there’s plenty there for returning fans to appreciate as well.

   Why has book 16 gone missing in the Amazon list. I had been watching for when the book would be available which was in late October. The day it became available it was no longer on the list.
