Teri is an American author that is best known for her romantic comedy novels, not to mention all the women’s fiction she has produced over the years.

+Biography

Teri Wilson’s love for books first emerged when she was just a child. Though, it wasn’t always obvious that she would take to writing as a career. The author was an only child. As such, she had a lot of time to herself when she was growing up.

That isolation gave Teri Wilson all the excuses she needed to lose herself in the world of fiction, and it eventually became commonplace to find Teri with her head buried in a book. Even at that age, Teri knew that she had a taste for romance.

She also loved exotic places. The author’s love for novels eventually led her to try and fulfill her dream of reproducing the same stories that gave her so much joy when she was young.

Teri Wilson’s strengths lie in taking old classics and turning them into tales set in the modern day. She always includes a twist that gives her books that extra edge. One of the author’s favorite authors is Jane Austen.

Teri spent many a year when she was young reading Pride and Prejudice and she always wondered what it would be like produce a story of equal strength. Several years later, the author produced ‘Unleashing Mr. Darcy’, a book that brings the Pride and Prejudice story to the modern day and makes a few delectable changes.

Teri is a fan of authors like Kristan Higgins, Sophie Littlefield and Helen Fielding. The author doesn’t spend all her time writing. Teri always finds time in her schedule to hang out with her friends and family.

Teri also loves to knit, this along with indulging her dogs as well as her love for ballet. When the opportunity arises, Teri will travel to the most exotic places she can think of; and when she finally returns home, it is usually to write about all that she has seen.

Some of her other hobbies include watching movies and baking cupcakes. It is also worth noting all the work that the author has done for ‘HelloGiggles’ which is a division of People Magazine.

+Teri Wilson Movies

Few authors have enjoyed the opportunity that has come Teri Wilson’s way to see her books become movies. Many of her fans had nothing but good things to say about the Hallmark Original Movie adaptation of ‘Unleashing Mr. Darcy’.

Like the book, the movie took a modern day spin to Pride and Prejudice. It centered on a woman called Elizabeth who, following the loss of her job, decided to enter a dog show only to find her life changed by an encounter with Donovan Darcy, the judge of the Dog Show.

The movie was released in 2015. And if anyone thought the movie was a fluke that Teri Wilson would never enjoy again, they were probably surprised to learn that ‘The Art of Us’, another one of the author’s books, had become a Hallmark Original movie.

The Art of Us tackles ‘My Fair Lady’. The movie follows a history professor who is forced to turn to her handsome dog walker, a secretly talented painter, when one of her artists unexpectedly pulls out of her art show.

Teri Wilson has said that there is nothing better than watching her scenes come to live on the silver screen.

+Unleashing Mr. Darcy

Elizabeth Scott is one resident of Manhattan who has no plans of walking down the aisle. This is despite the fact that she is starting to approach thirty. For Elizabeth, the only companion she needs in her life is Bliss, her dog. And she brings him along when she decides to cross the pond.

There is nothing left for Elizabeth back home, not after her career went up in flames in the wake of a destructive scandal. Elizabeth’s hope is that caring for show dogs in England will distract her from her ruined career and reputation.

Elizabeth doesn’t expect to encounter Donovan Darcy, a billionaire with an interest in dog breeding. Mr. Darcy is pretty arrogant, but more than sexy enough to make up for it. And Elizabeth knows that she won’t be able to control the passion once her chemistry with Mr. Darcy bears fruit.

This book is a cute and fluffy retelling of Pride and Prejudice. The book takes place in the world of dog shows and it is not nearly as taxing for audiences to read as the original Pride and Prejudice.

Unlike many of the popular retellings of Pride and Prejudice on the shelves today, this one stays pretty true to the spirit of the original. Teri Wilson should be commended for doing such a great job of bringing to life the sights and sounds of England.

+Unmasking Juliet

The Arabellas and the Mezzanottes have been at odds with one another for a while. But Juliet Arabella didn’t always care, more interested in making decadent truffles for her family’s chocolate shop.

When the annual masquerade ball brings Juliet into contact with a gorgeous stranger, Juliet’s bliss is quickly shattered when she learns that the man of her dreams is actually heir to the confection Dynasty her family so deeply hates.

Juliet’s situation doesn’t improve when she runs off to Italy. With her family business struggling, Juliet knows that she must come out victorious in a prestigious chocolate competition, and take home the prize money.

But how can she keep her mind in the game when Leo is also in Italy, determined to win the same prize? Juliet has a choice to make. She can either fight with everything she has or give in to sweet love.

This Teri Wilson novel attempts to give new life to the Romeo and Juliet Tale. The book focuses on two families that are struggling for survival in the world of Chocolate, and one has to commend Teri for making the descriptions of chocolate in her books so deliciously tempting.

Every page is practically bitter with the taste of chocolate. And this is despite the fact that Teri is using very simple words. Her prose makes her book an easy yet elegant read. It helps that Leo and Juliet are such great protagonists.
