Tess Sharpe is a renowned author from the United States, who is fond of writing thriller, mystery, young adult, and crime fiction novels. Even though she is just a couple of novels old, she has managed to achieve success similar to that of a well established novelist. The two novels of author Sharpe have successfully reached out to a vast number of readers all across the globe. Particularly, her debut novel, Far From You, has helped her arrive at the stage of publishing with a bang. It not only gave her a dream debut, but also allowed her to get noticed by various noteworthy critics, prominent authors, and literary journals & magazines. Author Sharpe has already completed the third book of her writing career, which is expected to get released very soon in the coming days. She has now started work on her 4th book and has said that she will announce the release of this one too in a few months from now. Author Sharpe was born in a cabin located in the mountains in Northern California. Her mother was sort of a punk rocker, who influenced her in all the ways she could to become a responsible person and do some great things in life. Sharpe says that she owes a lot to her mother as whatever she has managed to achieve today is all because of her dear mother. The initial upbringing of Sharpe was done in the rural regions of Northern California.

As of today, her house is located in the deep backwoods of her hometown. Author Sharpe’s fondness for pet animals enabled her to keep and rear a pack of feral cats and several cats. The start of her literary career was in the young adult genre. Sharpe came up with her critically acclaimed debut book in this genre and quickly became famous. Following her grand success with her very first novel, she wrote a couple more successful novels, one of which is the prequel of the Jurassic World called The Evolution of Claire. After this, author Sharpe collaborated with author Jessica Spotswood for co-editing the feminist young adult anthology known as the Toil & Trouble. This anthology is about witches and Sharpe has high hopes that it is going to do well after its release.

The first book written by author Tess Sharpe in her literary career is entitled ‘Far From You’. It was released by the Indigo publishers in the year 2014. Author Sharpe has mentioned the chief characters in this book as Sophie Winters, Trev bishop, and Mina Bishop. The setting of the plot has been done in Northern California, United States. At the start of the book’s story, it is shown that Sophie Winters is a drug addict, who is in the course of recovery. She has had problems of drug abuse in the past and is now undergoing treatment at a drug-recovery center. Sophie Winters shows positive signs of recovery as she remains drug free for around 9 and a half months under the special care of her doctors. Drug abuse was not the worst thing for Sophie to worry about. She seems unable to forget the brutal death of her best friend named Mina Bishop around 4 months ago. It is believed by everyone that Mina’s death occurred in a drug deal that went the other way, and the worst thing for Sophie about this incident is that people think she was the one to set up the deal for Mina, but she knows that she did not. In fact, the death of Mina occurred in altogether different context. Mina and Sophie were the best of friends and very close. They even shared a big secret. And the night Mina died there was no drug-deal taking place.

Someone murdered Mina Bishop and only Sophie is aware of the truth. By this time, Sophie had already gotten over her drug addiction. But, people close to her thought that it was because of her addiction that Mina lost her life, and so they forcefully admitted Sophie into the rehabilitation center. Sophie spends her days at the rehab with patience and comes out all sober. Now, she only dedicated job at hand that she wishes to complete as soon as possible. And that is to go on the trail of the murderer, track him, find him, and then give him the same treatment as he gave to her dear friend. Sophie Winters even intends to kill all those who helped the killer in his motive. And only after she completes this mission, she thinks she will be able to prove herself to be a true friend.

Another well known book that author Sharpe has written is called ‘Barbed Wire Heart’. This book was published by the Grand Central publication in 2018. The lead characters of this novel are shown as Harley McKenna and Duke McKenna, and the plot takes place in North County. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that Duke McKenna is the biggest criminal in all of North County and Harley McKenna is his only child. Duke is notorious to have cooked too much meth, fired more guns, and killed people more than any other criminal around. Harley too joins his father in her father’s activities at the age of 16 and carries out the work told to her by Duke for several years. She is mainly involved in collecting drugs and remaining away from trouble with her ability of sweet-talking. Harley McKenna seems to be gearing up for the day her father would declare her ready to takeover the charge of the drug empire that he has built over the years. But, before that could happen, a big problem comes their way.

The Springfields, who are the biggest rivals of Harley’s family, move back to the county. They were behind the killing of Harley’s mother some years back, and now they want to weaken Duke even more by targeting his daughter. As a turf war is about to take place in North County, Harley fears that it will consume all of it. She is also confronted by the truth that her world is going to get destroyed because of the violent world of Duke. Harley has been raised to remain fearless and deadly. Duke counts her to be loyal to him always. But, Harley McKenna thinks that if she wishes to survive and ensure the safety of all those she cares for and loves, she will have to take out the Springfields and her father’s operation. Subsequently, she heads towards blowing up the meth labs, which she believes is the root cause of all the enmity and bloodshed. Harley knows that Duke is always there to support her and take care of her if she ever feels let down. She knows he is never going to let her loose.
