The That Special Woman book series is a very well known series of contemporary, fiction, and romance novels. It is comprised of 3 books in total, which were released between the years 1993 and 1995. The series is written by a highly renowned United States author named Debbie Macomber. It is a much talked about series as it depicts the various emotions of in the lives of a couple as they go through the various phases and try to overcome all the difficulties with the love and support of each other. Author Macomber achieved a lot of success with this series. Its books sold numerous printed copies in many places of its publishings. Also, the immense success benefited author Macomber by increasing the tally of her fans by a huge number. Her depictions of sadness and sorrows in people’s lives in the form of losing the loved ones, separation, etc., were well appreciated by the critics and fellow writers. Author Macomber says that she feels sad for not being able to contribute more than three books to this series. She wanted to add a few more stories to it and was even working towards the development of new titles. However, nothing seemed to work out positively and so, author Macomber had to drop the idea. Nonetheless, she is pretty much satisfied with whatever she was able to do and achieve from this successful series. Many eager readers and desperate fans are hopeful, even now that she might come up with a new story as a part of the series.

Debbie Macomber is a popular novelist from America and likes to write romance books and contemporary works on women’s fiction. She has penned numerous novel series in her career and a long list of standalone novels. As many as 6 of her books have been adapted into films as made-for-Television. One of her popular series, Cedar Cove, was chosen to be adapted as a TV series with the same title. In 2005, author Macomber achieved the feat of becoming the winner of the inaugural Quill Award on the basis of voting by fans. The RWA has awarded her with a lifetime achievement and also a RITA Award. Author Debbie Macomber was born on October 22, 1948, in Yakima, Washington, United States. She was dyslexic from her childhood and goes through its effects even today. Because of this problem, Macomber was able to attain education only up to the high school grade. In spite of being abnormal, Macomber was hopeful to do great things in life and always had the determination of becoming a writer. When she got married and became a mother of 4 children, Macomber took her rented typewriter and sat down in the kitchen of her house for writing a few manuscripts, all the while caring for and raising her kids. She kept trying to get her works published for years continuously and had to face a lot of rejections from the publishers. Seeing nothing working out well, Macomber decided to turn towards doing freelance work for magazines. After some time, author Macomber went to attend a conference for romance writers. This proved to be a good step taken by her as a manuscript of her’s was chosen to get critiqued publicly by one of the Harlequin Enterprises’ editors. However, the editor did not appreciate Macomber’s work and suggested her to throw away the manuscript. She felt let down, but didn’t lose hope. Macomber gathered $10 and mailed the novel’s manuscript titled Heartsong to the rival of Harlequin, the Silhouette Books. They welcomed Macomber with open arms and published the novel with a great success. It also became Macomber’s first novel of romance to get reviewed by the Publishers Weekly. After getting her first story published by Silhouette, author Macomber continued writing romances for the publishing company. Later, went Harlequin acquired Silhouette in 1988, Macomber was asked to write some interconnected stories. Subsequently, she came up with the novels of Navy series. Until that time, Macomber used to write and publish 2 to 3 titles every year. From 1994 onwards, she started releasing single title books. The first hardcover release of Macomber came in 2001. The following year, Macomber thought of shifting her focus towards women, their relationships, and friendships. And consequently, she ventured into the contemporary fiction stories about women and wrote Thursdays at Eight. Most of her books have the Christmas themed settings. The stories of Macomber generally focus on giving out a message and do not contain long descriptive passages. She says she always intends to write her stories in such a manner that the readers get the feeling of happy expectation and hope. As of today, more than 170 million printed copies of Macomber’s novels are available across the world. Nowadays, author Macomber has started writing children’s books, cookbooks, inspirational nonfiction, etc. Macomber has won the Dalton Award 3 times in her literary career. In her personal life, Macomber serves as the mentor of a group of young people voluntarily. She takes active participation in raising funds for shelters for battered women and for medical research and literacy. She even serves as Warm-Up America’s board member. Macomber likes to spend her free time in the company of her loving husband named Wayne, her four children, and grandchildren. Her family stays in Port Orchard, Washington.

A famous novel of the ‘That Special Woman’ series written by author Debbie Macomber is entitled ‘Hasty Wedding’. This book was published by the Harlequin Mira publishers in 1993. Its chief characters are mentioned as Clare Gilroy and Reed Tonasket. The story takes place in Las Vegas. At the beginning, it is depicted that Clare Gilroy attends the wedding of her best friend in Las Vegas and seeing all the glitter and joy around, she wonders when her chance of walking down the aisle will come. She begins to fear that the day might never come, but then her eyes fall on the wedding’s best man named Reed Tonasket and Clare becomes instantly attracted towards him. Reed is a town outcast and Clare seems to be in a dilemma thinking whether or not she should develop a relationship with Reed. On the next day of the wedding, Clare Gilroy wakes up to discover a husband sleeping beside her and a lovely ring on a finger. She knows this is everything she has ever wanted, but doubts whether she will be able to adjust herself in the life of a man Reed.

Another popular book in the series is called ‘Baby Blessed’. It was released by the Silhouette publication in the year 1994. The main characters described in the book include Molly Larabee and Jordan Larabee. At the start of this book’s story, it is shown that Molly is a loyal and cherished wife and Jordan is her loving husband. They seem to have a small happy family until their world falls apart after the sudden death of their son. After the death of the young son of SIDS complications, Jordan and Molly feel that they have no joy left in their lives. Jordan indulges himself in long hours of work with the intention of coping up with his loss. But, Molly doesn’t have that much strength and ignorance. So, being not able to cope, she cries day and night in the memory of her son. After some time, she too takes up a job in a remote & a dangerous location as a doctor. Later, Jordan thinks of taking a divorce from Molly. He goes to meet her and tell her about his decision. Seeing each other after a year makes them realize that their love has not died with their son’s death. They share a night of passion, after which Molly discovers that she has become pregnant again. This news brings a ray of new hope in the couple’s life. Jordan drops the idea of divorce and starts cherishing his relationship with Molly again.

    I have been reading Debbie Macomber’s books for years, and I just came upon that Special woman series, but can’t find all the books, can I get the name’s of the series, thank you
