Tina Leonard is an award-winning author whose works have made the New York Times, Ingrambook, USA Today, Bookscan, Amazon, and Waldenbooks bestseller lists. She has more than 3 million of her novels in print published by the likes of Diversion Books, Samhain Publishing, London Bridge and Harlequin Books. Her novels are known for their endearing communities, sparkling humor and memorable characters that typically include sassy heroines and handsome men with tons of attitude. The “Rebel Cowboy’s Quadruplets” was an RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice Award nominee and was also a New York Times bestseller.
Tina Leonard had always loved to write and has never found it to be a chore. She started writing as a child though she never knew if she would ever get published. After high school, she went to the University of Tennessee from where she got a degree in Merchandising, which was something similar to a business degree. After college, she went on to work as an assistant buyer at the Miller & Rhoads Company in Virginia. She loved her job as it involved a lot of travel to the east coast which she found very pretty. For a while, she also worked as a legal secretary before she decided to quit the professional nine to five career and stay at home to take care of her child who was then eighteen months old. Her grandmother who is a distant relative of Willa Cather was staying with the family at the time. She was determined that somebody become a writer and put a lot of pressure on her to be that person.
Leonard’s debut novel was “It Takes Two” which was first published in 1996. While she cannot remember how long it took her to write, she does assert that she loved writing it and it remains one of her favorite titles. She started writing before the days of the Romance Writers of America and the Internet and hence she hardly knew anything about publishing. As such, publishing her first novel was quite a big deal for her. She would find out that she was not even writing in the correct genre when she sent her manuscript to an agent. The agent sent it back and kindly informed her that her strength was in the contemporary genre. She took the advice and started all over again and finally became a published author. Fast forward to today and she has more than thirty novels in historical and contemporary romance genres. She currently has several series of romance novels that include the “Cowboy’s by the Dozen,” “Tulips Saloon,” “Morgan Men,” “Callahan Cowboys,” “Pecan Creek,” “Hellas Outlaws Trilogy,” and the “Bridesmaids Creek” series.
Tina Leonard’s “Bridesmaids Creek” is one of the best she has ever written. It is set in the quaint little town of Bridesmaid Creek, a name that seems a little nuts or looney at first with its matchmaking and magic connotations. But the people in the town are nothing more than kind-hearted and warm people who care about the happiness of the people from their town. The leads of the first novel of the series “The Rebel Cowboy’s Quadruplets” are the handsome cowboy Justin Morant that is proud of being a rebel, wearing it like a badge of honor. He is a bull rider who is looking for something to do when Ty his friend tells him that Mackenzie Hawthorne is looking for a ranch foreman. She was not looking for love but who would not fall for the handsome Justin who it seems has also fallen in love with her little bundles of joy. In the second novel of the series “The SEAL’s Holiday Babies,” The town’s favored son Ty Spurlock makes a plan to get his cowboy friends hitched to the local women. Just like his fellow-townsmen, he is a warm-hearted man who wants to see his friends get married. But Ty loves Jade Harper a beautiful redhead and asks everyone to stay away from her. Jade Harper has also been in love with Ty but does not want to spoil his dream of joining the Navy SEALs. His plan is successful but he never knows how successful until he returns home for the holidays. In the third novel of the series “The Twins’ Rodeo Rider,” Suz Hawthorne is in love with Cisco Grant an ex-Navy SEAL. But there is a legend in Bridesmaid Creek that says a couple needs to consult an oracle to determine their love for each other. Unfortunately, the oracle says their relationship was never meant to be.
“The Rebel Cowboy’s Quadruplets” the first of the Bridesmaids Creek series of novels is about Mackenzie, a single mother to four infant children. She is in need of a ranch foreman to help get the farm in shape before she can sell it. She is friends with Ty who gets his friend Justin to come in to help. But Ty has more in mind when he recommends Justin as he believes that he would be a good match for Mackenzie though none of them is thinking of marriage. Marriage is the last thing on Mackenzie’s mind after her husband left her with four infants and a ranch. She believes that she can manage on her own as long as she can get someone to run the ranch. But then Justin is so handsome and really sweet with the babies that she finds herself attracted to him though he seems determined to remain single. Justin has no plans of getting married any time soon. He had enjoyed traveling with the rodeo and now that he cannot do that anymore he needs the time to decide what he wants to do next. Helping out with the ranch seemed like a good place to regroup and he likes it. But then he finds out that Ty had set him up and while he should have been mad he is not. He also finds that he is getting attracted to Mackenzie and her children with each passing day.
Tina Leonard’s “SEAL’s Holiday Babies” is the story of Ty Spurlock who has been busy setting up his friends though he is not yet hitched himself. He is a local cowboy that intends to join the Navy SEALs but wants to go out with a bang. He has planned a party for his cowboy friends to come to the town, where they can get introduced to the women in town who are looking to get married. Among the women is Jade Harper who Ty has always loved. Jade wants to become a mother but does not want to get married though she does not tell Ty about this. At the party, Ty and Jade hookup but Jade who has also been in love with Ty decides to let him go on and achieve his dream even after she learns that she is pregnant. After he leaves, she gives birth to twins and hopes to give him a huge surprise when he comes back home for the holidays. The whole town knows about the twins but no one will tell him. When he comes back, he immediately falls in love and is ready to get married to Jade, the woman she had always loved.
In the “The Twins’ Rodeo Rider” the third novel of the Bridesmaids Creek, the magic element is introduced. The oracle had said that Cisco Grant was destined for another woman though Suz Hawthorne is not going to let that stop her. She loves Cisco but she is not going to fall into his arms until he does things the proper way. For Navy SEAL Cisco Grant, all he knows is that he and Suz belong together no matter what the oracle says. He does not believe in curses or legends even if ninety nine percent of the people in Bridesmaids Creek do. But given that he lives in the superstitious town, romancing Suz is going to be very difficult. But things get out of hand at the Suz family ranch and the townsfolk believe it is because he had defied the oracle. The only way for him to get the heat off of himself is to get out of town, especially if he wants to have a chance with Suz.
