Tina Wainscott is an American writer that specializes in suspense and romance.

+Biography

Born in Naples, Florida, Tina Wainscott (born Tina Ritter) attended Lely High School in Naples, graduating in 1983 and eventually going on to study business at Edison College.

It was during her college years that Tina began to fantasize about the sorts of stories she would write if she ever took up the pen and begun writing as a career. It wasn’t long before she abandoned Edison College and took to writing short stories with fervor.

It became clear to Tina that she needed to improve her craft, which is why she enrolled for night classes in Creative writing. Through her classes, Tina became more focused, the requirements of her course and the fact that she was expected to submit new material in each session compelling her to hone her writing skills.

She eventually attempted to write, her third novel coming out ahead in the Romance Writers of America competition in 1993 and garnering Tina Wainscott a prize. The victory helped Tina land her first agent.

Soon after, Tina wrote the manuscript for ‘On the Way to Heaven’ which became her very first book. On the Way to Heaven was published n 1995. It was a paranormal romance that attracted a lot of interest. In less than a year, Tina wrote and published ‘Shades of Heaven’, the sequel to her first book.

Over the years, she has published more than a dozen books, all of them centered on the romance genre. She has been known to play with elements of suspense and the paranormal, with great success in most cases.

Fans of Tina Wainscott have praised her for the effort she injects into researching the concepts of her story, this allowing her to create a strong sense of place and highly intriguing characters.

Tina Wainscott has been nominated for awards like the ‘Romantic Times Reviewer’s Choice’ Awards. Tina is married to Dave Wainscott, an architect. Writing consumes most of her time, though she makes an effort to spend time with her friends and family.

Along with listening to spiritual books some of Tina’s hobbies including kayaking, boating, and auto crossing.

+Dreams of You

The West Palm Beach Homeless Shelter is home to a fragile, haggard young woman. She spends her nights haunted by the secret that impelled her to the streets. Her days are spent slipping through the streets, a scarf wrapped around her head, avoiding the stares of strangers

Readers that liked ‘On the Way to Heaven’, Tina Wainscott’s first novel, will enjoy Dreams of you. On the way to heaven is the sort of sweltering love story that most books cannot hope to replicate, and Dreams of You doesn’t try to do so.

The novel is, none the less, quite the intriguing read. Boasting an original plotline, romance, heartbreak and elements of the supernatural, even action, Tina Wainscott will have you laughing and crying throughout the run of her relatively short novel.

Adrian’s life has never been the same, not since his near death experience plagued him with visions of a woman he believes he is linked with. The famous photographer is more than happy to drop everything to find this mysterious woman when he catches sight of her in the background of a random shot.

By posing as a homeless drifter, Adrian is able to earn the woman’s trust, learning the truth behind her situation. Tina Wainscott creates very believable and relatable characters. By the time the story comes to a close, you cannot help but believe the friendship between Adrian and Nikki.

Admittedly, the plot heavily depends on coincidence to progress. There are some implausible elements that Tina asks her readers to accept for the sake of the story, such as Adrian’s ability to so easily assimilate to the life of a homeless drifter.

For the most part, though, the novel succeeds more often than it fails. Telling the story of a man determined to overcome all odds to connect with a woman he barely knows, and a woman that will do everything in her power to protect him from the complexities of her world and the dangers her past poses, Dreams of You is a satisfying and entertaining read.

Even with the lack of mystery, the book is able to inject a lot of suspense into the reader’s experience.

+Second Time Around

The last thought young Jennie Carmichael has as she dies is the fact that she never told Sam how she felt about him. Her life ending as a result of a tragic accident, Jennie regrets never telling Sam Magee, Private Eye, and her Boss, how much she loved him.

She has always been far too timid and it never occurred to her that a man as handsome as Sam would ever look at his shy, wheelchair-bound assistant in a romantic way.

As Jennie’s life fades, an incredible sadness overwhelming her, a miracle occurs. Jennie wakes once more. She has been granted a second chance at life, but this time in the body of Sam’s detestable ex-wife, Maxine Lizbon.

Jennie will have to adjust to her new body, one capable of walking, dancing, making love, things she never thought possible during all the years she spent in her wheelchair. Despite these joys, though, she must also contend with the danger that comes with inhabiting Lizbon’s body.

Sam’s Ex-wife was murdered and now her killer has Jennie in his sights. Even worse, the only man that can save her is the one man that wants nothing to do with her.

Second Time Around is as unique as contemporary romances can get. The heroine of the story is Jennie. She was initially wheelchair bound and spent her days working for Sam Magee, who she loves, as a Private Eye.

She soon finds herself stuck in Sam’s Ex-Wife’s body and someone wants her dead. There is a lot of humor in this book. Tina Wainscott’s imagination shines through and so does her compassion. The book is written from the perspective of a handicapped individual and her special circumstances add a lot of intensity to the novel. Overall, this is a pretty entertaining read. You will laugh and cry at the same time.
