Luana Ehrlich is a published author.
She is married to her husband, who used to be a minister. He has since retired from his life in the pastorate. Before that, however, they worked for years abroad as missionaries in countries such as Venezuela and Costa Rica. When her husband decided to retire, she chose to start up what would become the Titus Ray series.
Ehrlich loves spy thrillers and also enjoys mystery novels. So it should come as no surprise that when she set out to write her own novels, this is the type of genre that she chose to write in. She writes her books from an undisclosed place so that she can get a break from the regular tasks of life. This includes doing housework and going to get groceries.
Even though she does spend a lot of time by herself, the author does manage to get out once in a while. She enjoys hanging out with her grandchildren or even going to Starbucks. Luana lives in Oklahoma in Norman.
The Titus Ray series began in 2014 with the publication of the first book. In this novel, readers will meet the experienced main character of Titus Ray. Titus is an intelligence officer, or he used to be. He is a veteran in that position of the CIA. He spent much of his time working at the Agency and for much of his career dealing with Middle East affairs.
When he was working there, he was part of some clandestine operations for the United States. He took on assignments that were serious business, whether they were keeping America protected from terrorist attacks or anonymous threats. Titus was an operative for a long time, hardened in the field of battle. He’s been through many different scenarios when it comes to espionage. Even though he has seen it all, it appears that this world may not be done with him yet.
One Night in Tehran is the first book in the Titus Ray series, followed by Two Days in Caracas, the sequel. The third book is Three Days in Washington. There are many books in this series, with the seventh novel (Three Steps Away) making its debut in 2020. Check them out and see what you think with this action-packed and extremely readable series!
One Night In Tehran is the first novel in the Titus Ray series, featuring main character and CIA operative Titus Ray.
In this debut story, he’s on the hunt for answers. But he might not be the only person that’s on the hunt. He doesn’t know this yet, but there’s an assassin out there that is trying to track him down. However, Titus has more than enough to deal with.
The veteran of the CIA is currently on the go. He’s running from the infamous secret police in Iran and does not want to get caught. He’s able to find a bit of shelter in the city of Tehran with some Iranian Christians. They of course want to convert him in the process while providing him shelter, but beggars cannot be choosers. They do their best to try and convert him, urging him to believe in Jesus Christ. Meanwhile, they get him to freedom out of Iran to Turkey.
Eventually Ray is able to get back to America, but there he finds out that the mission that he was on in Iran was not successful. Ultimately, there was too much fighting and politics going on in the Agency and that is why it failed. Not the best news, and Titus gets angry. He loses his temper and in an outburst rants about the Deputy Director of Operations.
The deputy responds to this and that is exactly how Titus has to go to Oklahoma on medical leave for a year. But before he can make his departure from Langley, he finds out some interesting information. That is, he discovers that the Iranians hired a Hezbollah assassin to track him down and take him out.
This gives him a lot to think about, and he’s already thinking a lot about the concept of what it means to follow Christ. He goes to Norman, Oklahoma, and there he meets a nice Iranian couple. It’s only natural that his mind instantly starts to contemplate whether they could be connected to the assassin.
He also meets Nikki Saxon, a detective that works there locally. The detective may have an interesting life and personality, but can he trust her to to keep his secrets? He’s been trained in the art of deception, contemplating now whether to pursue faith as part of his life. Or the detective, for that matter, who is so beautiful that he’s finding her difficult to resist.
Can Titus Ray avoid being caught in the line of fire and trust Nikki? Find out by picking up the very first book in the Titus Ray series!
Two Days In Caracas is the exciting sequel and the second novel in the Titus Ray series by author Luana Ehrlich. In this story, Titus Ray is back again and facing down a threat that he never would have thought coming.
Titus is on his way to San José in Costa Rica. When he gets there, he makes the acquaintance of Ben Mitchell. The new operative has a hot temper and worse, very little field experience. So Titus must choose to brush it all off and take what he’s got or decide to show him the ropes.
Titus is currently involved in an active operation when he gets a call out of the blue. He’s being summoned back to America. There he must not only contend with past failures, but also the fate about where his relationship with Nikki Saxon is going.
Then it’s off to Caracas, Venezuela. There he must attempt to stop Ahmed Al-Amin, a Hezbollah assassin, from targeting a government official for deletion. But once he starts investigating, he finds out that this guy is just one small part of a bigger picture. This involves an international plot aiming at shipping chemical weapons to several enemies of America.
Titus Ray has his skills and his faith, but when he runs into an old foe, what will happen? Can he stop the assassin and the plot for good? Find out by picking up a copy of this thriller for yourself!
