Tom Fletcher is a bestselling children’s fiction author that is a household name in the United Kingdom.

Millennials remember him as a guitarist and vocalist in the “McFly” boy band while those born in the 1990s and 2000s know him for his children’s fiction such as “There is a Monster in Your Book” and “The Christmasaurus.”

In recent times, he has become something of a sensation on the Internet as he has an Instagram following of more than 2 million and a YouTube channel with more than 660,000 subscribers.

Even though Tom made his name as a band member in McFly, he is now better known for his funny wise, and relatable content and children’s fiction works.

Earlier on in his life, Tom Fletcher went to the London-based “Sylvia Young Theatre School.” This is where he met Giovanna Falcone, who would, later on, become his wife and co-creator in the writing of children’s fiction.

After graduating from school, he became a member of the McFly band, where he was a singer and songwriter. Fletcher has been a musician for more than two decades and has been writing books for more than a decade.

He began writing as he believed it was a natural progression from music since both can be a form of storytelling.

Together with Dougie his bandmate from McFly, they used to visit bookshops and surprisingly found themselves gravitating towards children’s fiction.
