Jerry Ahern and Patrick Andrews are the authors of the fictional Track series. The series started in 1984 and has thirteen novels in total, ending with Amazon Gold in 1986. The books fall into the suspense and action and adventure genre and feature the main character, the skilled and mentally as well as physically tough Track.

Jerry Ahern was an American science fiction and action novel writer and published author. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 23, 1946. He is perhaps most recognized for his Survivalist series, which were set in a post-apocalyptic world. Despite being fictional, these novels actually contained helpful and real tips and guides for surviving in tough situations. They also have detailed descriptions of weapons that the survivalists rely on to defend themselves and continue fighting in a war that seems like it will never end.

Ahern also frequently wrote about firearms. His articles were featured in magazines such as Guns & Ammo and Gun World. Jerry also frequently wrote under the pen name of Axel Kilgore. He was recognized for his expertise in the field of leather gear for firearms and holsters. He made a line of holsters when he was living. His character in the Survivalist series, John Rourke, The weapons that he chose to carry and the equipment were similar to what Ahern carried, including a telescopic-sight Colt CAR-15, a Lou Alessi-crafted custom double shoulder holster, and an A.G. Russell Sting boot dagger (1A).

Many of his novels were collaborations with Sharon Ahern, his wife. Jerry Ahern sadly passed away on July 24th in 2012 due to cancer.

The Track Series started off with the release of the debut novel in the fictional series, The Ninety-Nine. It was published in 1984. The novel did well and Patrick Andrews and Jerry Ahern’s collaboration was a success. They followed it up with the sequel Atrocity and the two collaborated on many other novels in the series together, with Patrick Andrews composing some solo.

The Ninety-Nine is the first book in the Track series by Jerry Ahern and Patrick Andrews. This thriller novel brings the action and adventure to readers right out of the gate. The series stars Dan Track, who is working for the CID in the United States Army.

He’s hot on the trail of a notorious arms smuggler. His mission is to try and track the smuggler, who has been fairly busy raiding various European military depots. Dan Track is making good progress in his mission to tail the guy, but soon he may have an even bigger problem on his hands than just an arms dealer.

Track soon finds out that he needs to contend with the threat of Johannes Krieger. This guy is notorious for pulling off crazy deals, and now he has managed to pilfer over a hundred weapons. The only problem is that these are not your run of the mill average weapons; they instead happen to be potent nuclear warheads.

Krieger has stolen the warheads for a very specific purpose as well. He is working for the Third Reich and is helping the return of the Third Reich occur. The German and so-called ‘higher race’ never completely was destroyed with the end of the world war.

Will the Third Reich be able to return? Can Track catch Krieger and also manage to stop the arms dealer that he was trailing before, or will the successful taking of over a hundred nuclear warheads give a movement more power and the boldness that they need to rise again and seize power? You’re going to have to read The Ninety-Nine by authors Jerry Ahern and Patrick Andrews to find out for yourself!

Atrocity is the second novel in the Track series. The smart and tough Dan Track is back again in this lively and spirited thriller from novelists Jerry Ahern and Patrick Andrews. Get back in the action once more after the suspenseful and fast-paced events of the first novel!

Dan Track is on the case once more. He thought that his struggle against the diabolical Johannes Krieger had ended, but his opponent has proved himself to be more cunning than ever. Unfortunately for Track, he’s going to have to step up his game if he wants to not only track down Krieger but stop him for good. Krieger is endlessly cunning and will use every bit of his natural and developed resourcefulness to carry out his evil plans.

Dan Track knows that he has to be the one that is going to take Krieger down. He’s the only person with enough experience with the arms dealer to even attempt to take him down. But Krieger will do anything that he can to hide away and avoid being detected to try and achieve his plans for nuclear domination. He also has a list of 99 death wishes and only by finding him can Dan Track find out where Krieger plans to strike next.

Track will not be alone in his mission to take down Johannes Krieger. The nuclear assault against the world must be stopped, and Track will have to use every trick he has to find him. Track’s luck takes a turn for the better when he aligns with a female arms smuggler named Desiree. She is beautiful and Track can use all of the help that he can get.

Their adventures will take them deep into hostile territory to a Soviet research facility hidden away deep in the snowy lands of eastern Siberia, also known as no man’s land. It turns out that Siberia has earned this nickname for a reason. The facility is going to be blown up by a bomb unless Track can dismantle it in time.

Will Track and Desiree will be able to get to the bomb and stop it from exploding in time? Or is the Siberian research facility and other locations in the world doomed to suffer under the evil plans of Johannes Krieger? You’re going to have to pick up the second book in the Track series to find out!
