Tui T. Sutherland is a children’s author who writes about a variety of fictitious topics. She has written multiple series. If you don’t recognize the name, she also goes by T. T. Sutherland. She also uses multiple pen names, including: Rob Kidd, Tamara Summers, and Heather Williams. Another pen name she uses is Erin Hunter, which she shares with two other authors.
She writes a variety of topics, for all ages. Even though she writes some young adult romances, any adult can enjoy them as well. Her work is timeless. She even illustrates her own books usually. She honestly loves her job and loves meeting readers. I hope she continues to keep writing exceptional children’s books.
Who Is Tui T. Sutherland?
Born on July thirty first, 1978, in Caracas, Venezuela, Tui had already lived in Paraguay, Miami, and the Dominican Republic until her family moved to New Jersey where she finished high school. She attended Williams College and graduated in 1998. She currently lives in Boston with her husband, two children, and Yorkshire-Poodle dog, Sunshine.
In 2009, she appeared on Jeopardy! After two days, she won forty-six thousand two hundred dollars. On the third day, she came in second place. She says she loved the experience. She has written over forty books; from books for babies and toddlers to young adult novels. For several years, she was an editor for children’s books in New York.
She is working on the Seekers series right now along with Kate Cary and Cherith Baldry. They are using the pen name Erin Hunter. They also wrote the Warrior series together. They are collaborating with Victoria Holmes to create the new Seekers series.
Tui has also written spin off series of regular movies and television shows. She wrote two books as a Little House on the Prairie spin off. She has written six books as a prequel to The Pirates of the Caribbean: The World’s End; on some of the books, she used T. T. Sutherland instead. She has also written Legends of the Brethren Court, more Pirates of the Caribbean, under the pen name Rob Kidd.

About the Book
Tui wrote this book as a more modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was her debut novel, published in 2005. The story follows four teenagers in high school, mainly through texts, emails and notes between best friends, Hermia and Helena. It is set up like a play.

When a younger sister believes she will always be a bridesmaid and never the bride, she swears off dating. Then, she believes she made a horrible wedding curse against her sister’s wedding. Trying not to fall in love with the wedding planner’s son, she has a bumpy road ahead.
