Corktown

Corktown ushers in the series Abby Kane FBI Thrillers. In Corktown, a neighborhood of Detroit, the residents find a mutilated body something that raises the alarm, and for sure it is for a good reason as the matter is about to get big. The police investigate the matter and point the matter to an infamous serial killer, Doctor. However, all their findings seem entirely off the grid as the serial killer was arrested seven years ago.

This raises a huge vacuum and a mystery, and that is when former hotshot detective Abby Kane is called in to solve this puzzle. The FBI agent is an expert when it comes to serial killers, and this is why she is called in to settle this matter. She starts by visiting a Doctor in prison to find out if there is a connection between him and these killings. It is from the information he gives her that she believes his plea of not being guilty as had been previously taken of him.

From her brilliance, she discovers that there is another person behind these murders and to some extent, the copycat in the wind could be the true killer. The case becomes worse when the Detroit PD refuses to collaborate, but this does not stop her from investigating. On a more in-depth look into this matter, she uncovers much corruption and other evils in the society that seems connected to these rogue killings.

Away from the case, she suffers on the inside as she has some family issues that regard taking care of her children with the absence of their father. It is a battle between her job and her family, but she still has to maintain the two sides. She has to pull through a society that is highly male dominant but all the same, she has to pass the barrier.

The story has an excellent plot with interesting characters and incredibly connected happenings to deliver a unique investigative story. Hutchison also sets out the mysteries in such a way that the reader gets to understand together with Kane as they go deep into the story.

Tenderloin

Tenderloin is the second installment in his Abby Kane FBI Thriller Series. Life has completely changed for the FBI agent, and the nature of crimes she is chasing is different where she now deals with white collar crimes. However, things change the moment a DEA body is found in Bogota. The answers to this matter can only be found in Columbia, and that is why she is forced to fly there and work on the case.

The case points out the presence of a new drug being manufactured deep into the Amazon jungle. Her investigations unravel a lot concerning the issue, and the scientists confess that the drug has dangerous side effects. While she thinks that the operational cartels are in control, the locals believe that it is a single person behind the production of this lethal component. Balancing her family and work still affects her functioning but still has to deliver on these two roles

If the matter does not get attended fast enough, the new drug will flood the market and could end up creating havoc with the extents to loss of lives. The plot becomes deeper as more facts come to the attention of this agent creating suspense and one can almost feel the struggle she has to go through to bring justice. As she chases the source of this drug, one of the cartel groups is also doing the same for their self-benefit. Being a woman she does her best to maintain the two sides of her life, and one can see from the description that the author gives her.

Russian Hill

Russian Hill is the third piece in the Abby Kane FBI Thriller Series. The story is set in Chinatown near Florida where agent Kane is involved in a cat and mouse chase involving a serial killer. It is more than just the normal investigative story as it also includes twists and turns of her family and a love affair.

Abby is on a case to investigate and get the person behind the murder of a person whose body was found in Muir Woods. Another group of Fransisco detectives is on a case to that involves a murder, and they could be having a possible suspect to the case. The two sides join hands to unravel the puzzles of their cases as they seem related. After some time, one of them, Pete Solokov is assigned a new case leaving Kyle and Kane to work together in solving the puzzles in their cases.

While they are going on with their investigation, a very bizarre murder happens and this is when they realize that the person they are dealing with is way smart at what they on these killings. However, things get overboard when the two develop feelings for each other complicating their working and investigating jointly at the matter they realize that the murders involve a computer game that makes the case rather complicated.

Behind working, Abby is still struggling to give her attention to her children and also devote time to this relationship. It is a journey that will have to take her and the counterpart through hell to find the killer who has terrorized the area as they seem clever at what they do for they do not leave any straight paths for the two.

Hutchison has created a book that is easy to read, interesting from the incredible but straightforward connection of activities and players in the novel. The mysteries created will involve you together with the two detectives holding your attention all along.
