Vaughn Heppner is a Canadian author of Thriller, Science Fiction and Fantasy novels. Heppner was born in Canada and moved to Central California before seventh grade. Not knowing what to do with his life, Heppner became miserable and desperate until the day one of his good friends gave him a typewriter, and he immediately began writing a novel. However, he was later convinced that writing would be much easier if he did it on a computer. In response, Heppner bought one and would spend up to three hours in the morning writing before going to work.

Heppner has published ten novel series including Lost Civilization series which began in 2001 when Giants the debut novel in the series was released. Other novel series include Ark Chronicles, Doom Star, Alternate Europe, Invasion American, Extinction Wars, Lost Starship, A.I., Invaders, and Fenris. The author has also written over a dozen standalone novels and several collections.

The Lost Starship

Ten thousand years ago, an alien ship survived a battle and the vessel dying crew an Artificial Intelligence (AI) in automatic defense mode to defend the smashed remains of their planets. Legend has it that the alien ship continues to patrol the lost battlefield, obeying its orders throughout the centuries.

In the meantime, Earth needs a miracle; far from the beyond come a new breed of men, stronger, faster and braver than the earth people. Their advanced technology and superior battlefield warship destroy almost every fleet sent to stop them. Additionally, their spies have infiltrated the government and traitors now plague the Earth military.

Then there is Captain Maddox of the Star Watch Intelligence, a man who wonders whether the ancient legend could be true. If it’s true, would such an old spaceship be able to defeat the technology of the New Men?

While retreating from an attack by killers, Maddox searches for a group of highly talented misfits. He seeks Doctor Dana Rich, a professional thief imprisoned on a prison planet, Keith Maker, an alcoholic ex-strike fighter and Lt. Valerie Noonan, the only person who to have survived a battle against the New Men.

Maddox has to do whatever it takes and find the lost battlefield and bring back the ship that no one can enter. If he fails in this mission, the New Men will have to replace every man on earth, but if he succeeds the humanity might have a chance of success.

The Lost Command

One and half century ago, the human race hoping to establish a haven relocated deep into the Beyond. Now the New Men are attacking; these are stronger than the human race, they are faster and smarter than the old.

The Star Watch sends Fletcher to stop these attacks. But Admiral Fletcher barely escapes a massacre by heading into the horrifying void. His almost wholly destroyed ships are quickly running out of resources such as food, fuel, and missiles and thus they can’t dare go back and face the army of the New Men.

Star Watch tirelessly searches for a way to rescue Admiral Fletcher ships. There is an ancient starship parked in the solar system, one with an irascible AI refusing to cooperate. The vessel has potent weapons capable of defeating the New Men- but only if anyone could find out a way to make the work after ten thousand years.

The Star Watch Council summons Maddox, the only person who has successfully worked with the ancient artificial intelligence computer. The captain must now convince his old friend- the AI who has now become smarter than before to help him rescue Fletcher and other vessels before time runs out.

But what do the ten thousand years artificial intelligence machine have to gain for helping the Earth’s cockiest Intelligence Officer? The answer to this question might be the solution to solving the threat of the New Men.

Star Soldier

Star Soldier is the first book in Doom Star series by Vaughn Heppner and a debut in one of the most excellent sci-fi series of the 21st century.

Doom Star books are set in the future here Earth, and most of other planets in the solar system are governed by the communist Social Unity, people who brutally repress their subjects. The main character in the narrative is Martin Kluge, who starts in the first book by escaping from the Sun Works Factory- a gigantic station ringing Mercury. He flees to Earth where most of the population resides in the cities buried kilometers deep into the ground.

As bad as things are under the leadership of Social Unity, they could even get worse and very quickly, things turn for the worst. The Social Unity rulers had previously produced a genetically enhanced race known as the Highborn. This species was created to perform protection to their master and fight battles for them. Unfortunately for the Social Unity, their “Army” rebelled and thus sparked an interplanetary war began.

The SU was the worst type of communists, but for the Highborn, they took the opposite approach but emulating the Nazi’s of the 20th century – adopting the German assumption that they were superior to other races. But genetically speaking, the Highborn were right, they were stronger, bigger and smarter than the normal human beings.

On Earth, we find Kluge; a man who hasn’t been getting along well since his escape from mercury and when Earth is first attacked, his life is saved. He soon finds himself enlisted in a human army fighting alongside the Highborn side of the war. But neither side is good: on one side is the Social Unity while on the other is the Highborn. But Kluge doesn’t love the idea of fighting for the Highborn but instead wishes to find another option and probably on Mars where a group of humans who have rebelled against the Social Unity live or maybe in other outer planets where free humans still live.

Star Soldier is the tale of techno hell in a ruthless war, full of surprises, action-packed, and filled with twists and turns to the last page. It is a sci-fi tale where the fittest are deemed to survive a terrible war of extinction.

Searching for ANY copy of “The Eternity Machine.” This stand-alone novel is most impossible to locate! Have attempted quite a lengthy search for the book. Please help this one to somehow, someway, purchase or obtain this novel. Its co-authored by Vaughn Heppner and Logan White. You’re much a last resort!! Thanks, in advance, best regards~

Hi Eugene – we just list books, not sell them. However, looking into it here I am not sure if that one was ever released. I can’t seem to see any confirmation that it was.
