About Victor Zugg

Coming from a military background himself, the American author Victor Zugg writes action thrillers and espionage novels that really keep readers on the edges of their seats. This is something that has seen him achieve a huge level of success worldwide, reaching readers from all over the world. The stories move along at a tense and exciting pace, really transporting the audience, giving them an insight into an otherwise unseen world. Travelling extensively, his books are well researched, along with bringing in his own first hand experience, giving them an extra layer of authenticity.

In the past Victor Zugg has also written non-fiction, creating interesting and in-depth work that both informs and entertains the reader. Becoming a household name for many, he’s managed to establish a reputation for himself within the industry quite unlike any other. Some of his work focuses on different time periods and eras, looking into the past, all with the same dedication to research. This he does through researching areas and places himself through his travels, and taking the time to learn himself.

Over the years he’s created a number of different series, all of which draw numerous readers in as they progress. With long lasting characters too, he also creates ever iconic protagonists that stay with the reader long after they’ve put the book down. Often using genre fiction to get his message across too, he’s always got something to say through each and every one of his books. With a lot more to come into the foreseeable future, he’s a writer whose writing career is growing from strength-to-strength.

Early and Personal Life

Born in Orlando in America, writing would always play a major part in the life of Victor Zugg no matter what. Finding his own voice as an author over the years, he’d develop a style and a tone that would become very much his own. Working in the military for some time, he would write several non-fiction articles for various different publications during his time there.

Spending time both as an OSI special agent, and as a US Air Force Officer, he’s served all over the world, as well as travelling extensively. Following his non-fiction, he would later turn his hand to writing fiction, producing a number of action packed series in the process. Currently living in Florida, he’s not far from where he grew up in Orlando, as he continues writing to this present day.

Writing Career

Starting out back in 2018, Victor Zugg would begin writing literary fiction with the novel ‘Surrounded by the Blue’ and the series ‘Solar Plexus.’ His first series would also begin with the same name, followed later that year with the sequel ‘Near Total Eclipse’ and this would be carry on with another adventure. There would also be his ‘Ripple in Time’ series, beginning with ‘A Ripple in Time’ in 2019, followed by ‘The Planters’ and ‘The Punishers’ both in 2020.

Most of these would be action adventures, and he’d also bring in elements of science-fiction, developing some dystopian stories in the process. This would allow him to make a name for himself quite unlike any other, as he grow his audience all around the world. Getting good reviews too, he maintains a strong presence both online and off, as he carries on writing for some time to follow.

Surrounded by the Blue

First published in 2018 on the 2nd of September, this would be a stand-alone novel going under the subtitle of ‘A Novel of Ocean Adventure and Survival.’ Working as an action thriller set on the wide expanse of the ocean, it makes the most of its exciting location, really pushing it to the limit. Taking place in the present day, it’s a contemporary novel capturing a real sense of adventure and excitement throughout.

Featuring a strong female protagonist at the center of the story, the character of Michelle Stewart has a real character arc to her progression throughout the story. Standing up for herself, she fights for survival, finding what she’s truly made of as a leading personality, pushing her and her story forwards. This is something that the book definitely does well, all with its use of suspense and tension, maintaining a momentum every step of the way.

Known to her friends as Mickey, Michelle Stewart is a successful ad executive who enjoys a comfortable life, that is until she takes sail aboard a luxury yacht. During her sail disaster strikes, and she’s left ill-equipped against the elements, finding her way back home against the harshness of the ocean. Now she has to adapt and brave the odds, doing whatever it takes to stay alive and keep her head above water, despite not being prepared. Does she truly have what it takes? Can she find her way home? What will become of her as she finds herself surrounded by the blue?

The Punishers

This would be the third ‘A Ripple in Time’ book, following on from the previous two in the series, finalizing a lot of what has come before. Initially released in 2020 on the 24th of August, this would feature elements of science-fiction, along with an action driven storyline. Published on the Kindle platform, many of its characters are people from before, so it’s best that the books are read in order. There’s also attention to detail when it comes to the historical period of the time-travel too, creating a real sense of authenticity throughout.

It’s been three years since the big event whereby Federal Air Marshall Stephen Mason was thrown back through time with the rest of a planeload of passengers. Taken back to 1723, he finds himself in Charlestown, in the South Carolina Colony, along with his wife and two best friends, Lisa Jackson and Jeremy. Having built themselves a successful rice plantation, it’s now time for Mason to revisit one of his old adversaries, and now everyone is taken into unfamiliar territory once again. Will they be able to find their way home? Can they overcome this obstacle in their path? What will become of the Punishers?

Victor, I have read the ‘Ripple’ series and also ‘From Near Extinction.’ I don’t buy into time travel but love the ‘what-if’ stories, starting with
    ‘A Connecticut Yankee . . .’
Also, I live in Orlando, where I guess you were born, and served in USAF . . . Air Police and had contacts with OSI in the Dakotas.
I look forward to reading more of your books and wish you continued success.
