Wendy May Andrews is an inspirational and historical romance novelist that has been writing ever since she could read and write. Of course, her earlier efforts were something only a mother would be proud of.

However, she stopped writing when she left school but continued to be an avid reader. Wendy got back into writing on a dare from her husband, who told her she should write rather than always read the works of other people.

She did not believe she could be an author but found that she actually did love writing. It was from those very early efforts that she penned the 2010 published “Tempting the Earl.”

But it was quite a rough ride as she once became an orphan author when her publisher was sold and she had to go back to looking for another interested publisher.

She has said that she writes her novels to help her readers feel refreshed and escape from the banalities of everyday life.

When she is not writing or reading, she can be found traveling the world with her husband or enjoying the scenery in her neighborhood with her dogs.

As a five-year-old child, Wendy May Andrews learned how to read and has been in love with words ever since. As a child, she used to read almost anything from cereal boxes, signs, books, posters, magazines, and newspapers.

As such, writing is something she has been doing for as long as she has been reading. Once she got started with the publishing of her debut novel she has not looked back.

Andrews has made a name for herself penning Sweet Historical Romances set in the nineteenth century Midwest, England, or in the Regency era. Andrews writes novels that always have an element of suspense or intrigue that will often if not always be a happily ever after.

Even though many of her stories tend to be fictional, they have a grounding in historical reality. She loves doing all the research into history that writing her novels alls for.

Still, she will sometimes get inspiration for her characters from friends or family. For instance, in “The Countess Intrigue” and “The Duke Conspiracy,” the bad guy is friends with the real-life character of Tallyrand.

Wendy May Andrews currently makes her home in Toronto, where she lives with her husband. She at some point almost named the hero in one of her novels after her husband but had to change it at the last minute.

She loves that she is an author as she believes it to be the best job ever. When she is not reading or writing she loves to travel alongside her husband.
Andrews also likes to stay active to ward off writers’ butt. Fortunately, she lives in the very green city of Toronto which comes with all manner of trails and parks that she can explore.

Since she became a professional author, she has become very active on her social media profiles on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. She will usually chat with her fans on these profiles in addition to answering all questions and giving previews of her novels to her newsletter subscribers.

Wendy May Andrews’ novel “A Duke to Elude” is the story of Lady Rosabel a woman who is waiting for true love. As the oldest daughter of the Earl of Sherton, she inexplicably does not want to become duchess, even though all manner of eligible noblemen have made their proposals.

She is hoping that she can find someone ordinary with no noble title. Her third season ends in disappointment until James Allingham, the Duke of Wexford arrives and makes her start to question her stance on noblemen as a good match.

The duke has inherited his duchy alongside the role of chief advisor to the ailing king. Investigating one of the biggest threats to the realm is hard enough for the duke, without the interference of Isabel.

But she is an intelligent and gorgeous woman who will make sure he makes time for courting her. James finds himself fighting his attraction and suspicions but has to soldier on until he finds the truth.

Wexford needs to find everything about the plot to destabilize the realm and his resolve is made even more so when Rosabel’s reputation is threatened by those very schemes.

“A Viscount to Conspire” by Wendy May Andrews introduces a man and woman whose fake relationship may turn out to be one huge mess.

All Lady Hilaria Sherton wants is to get married to a duke – any duke. But she will never marry Viscount Eastwood.

But then he proposes a fake relationship with him that could result in a significant increase in her status. She cannot say no despite the fact that she despises the man.

All Viscount Camden wants is for his overbearing mother to get off of his back with her demands that he get married.

Camden knows she will not like Lady Hilaria even if she is the daughter of an earl. Since she is one of the snobbiest people he knows and the Viscount believes she will be the perfect candidate for his scheme.

It is a clean regency romance full of historical charm and memorable characters that culminates in a happily ever after.

Wendy May Andrews’ novel “A Gentleman to Avoid” opens with Lady Vigilia Sherton in a bad spot.
