Wendy Wang
Wendy Wang wrote her very first story at the age of eleven which was about a young girl that finds a body in a trunk in her new home’s attic, and she hasn’t stopped since then. She wrote this story on her dad’s old Royal typewriter and it fed her dream to write for a living. Wendy loves scary stories, thrilling stories, and a good mysteries and so those are the sorts of stories she is drawn to write.

Wendy grew up listening to ghost stories from her family. Her granny’s property was right next door to some old churchyard and it was possible to see the headstones through the trees that separated the two properties. She would tell everyone about the haints that’d wander around and mess with all the knick-knacks that she had. Her granny would also tell a story about how Wendy’s grandpa’s ghost would lay down on the bed next to her sometimes and said that the old iron bed would squeak. Wendy still gets chills thinking about it.

Wendy decided to write about a psychic that can see the dead because she popped into her head one day and wouldn’t shut up. She believed it’d be interesting to write about her life and about the South Carolina coast. Wendy lived there for fourteen years and knows the landscape quite well. She also has family that is a lot like hers: all up in your business but still loves you fiercely.

She worked a sensible job for awhile, and set the fantasy aside. But typically found she had a story inside her head with characters that wouldn’t shut the hell up. At last, when she was no longer able to ignore these characters she began writing them down, and gave up the sensible job for one that she loves.

When Wendy isn’t busy writing something, she’s reading. When she doesn’t have her nose in a book, she’s futzing around her garden with their little pond.

Wendy’s debut novel, called “The Last Queen”, was released in the year 2015. Her work is from the fantasy and urban fantasy genres.

“Haunting Charlie” is the first novel in the “Witches of Palmetto” series and was released in the year 2017. Ignoring the dead is liable to get you killed.

All Charlie Payne wants is just to be a good mother and lead a normal life. However she’s not quite normal. She is from a long line of witches and is able to see the dead. Susan Tate has inherited this beautiful old southern mansion out on the coast. Unfortunately, the property also came with about a million necessary repairs. Ghosts, too.

When Charlie and Susan meet, Charlie is desperate to get help. Taking on a spirit that does not want to see the light can be a dangerous thing. Ignoring it, however? Ignoring the dead can actually get you killed.

“Wayward Spirits” is the second novel in the “Witches of Palmetto” series and was released in the year 2017. The dead do not always rest in peace. Psychic Charlie Payne is juggling a lot right now. She is trying to be a good mom, deal with her ex-husband (something that’s never easy), and helping out the local deputy with cold cases involving missing people.

When Charlie gets called in to help out with a young woman’s mysterious death, things take a supernatural turn in the investigation. Could it have just been suicide? Or something much more sinister?

The further Charlie digs the more that some long-buried secrets begin surfacing. Charlie has to embrace the witch inside of her to ensure she isn’t the next victim because a ghost that has a grudge is not just dangerous. It’s also lethal.

“Devil’s Snare” is the third novel in the “Witches of Palmetto” series and was released in the year 2017. Sometimes the dead need the living in order to survive. Charlie Payne’s been busy raising her son, helping out the local deputy solve the very worst of his cases, and accepting her own birthright as a witch.

Her cousins suggest combining her induction into their coven with a girl’s week in the mountains, she jumps on the opportunity to get a break. However her vacation becomes a nightmare when Charlie comes across a young woman’s spirit that is definitely not looking to move out into the light. And once this ghost has its sights set on Charlie, she will not stop until she gets what she really wants.

And if she should succeed? It might cost Charlie a lot more than just her life this time around.

“The Witches Ladder” is the fourth novel in the “Witches of Palmetto” series and was released in the year 2018. There’s some spells that should never be cast. Charlie Payne has been busy learning how she can master her magical abilities with some mixed results. Unfortunately, there is no time for her to get discouraged since a rash of ghosts keep on turning up for Charlie’s aid when she least expects it.

Now she and her cousins have to figure out what is killing the not so good and good folks of Palmetto Point before the next person ends up dead. Otherwise, they might just end up the targets of some modern day witch hunt.

“The Harbinger” is the fifth novel in the “Witches of Palmetto” series and was released in the year 2018. Evil comes in all forms, and not every single one of them is human. They refer to her as the Blue Lady, the harbinger of destruction and storms. For Charlie, is the appearance of the ghost of the Blue Lady signaling only a hurricane? Or devastation from beyond?

Charlie gets asked to use her vast talents to help out Deputy Jason Tate with a series of murders, she sees the face of the actual hitman in a dream. Confronted with disbelief and jeering from an FBI agent consulting on this case, and doubts from the deputy, she has to face the evil threatening the community by herself.

While a hurricane barrels towards the South Carolina coast, are her cousins and fellow witches be able to stop this murderer before he kills again?
