Weston Parker is a new adult romance and romantic suspense author. The prolific bestselling author who co-writes his novels with Ali Parker his sister was once an employee of EMS and also worked as a firefighter before he started writing fiction. He currently lives with his wife two children and a turtle in Texas from where he writes his novels. Parker wrote his debut novel “Ryder,” the first of the “Lost Breed MC” series of novels in 2017. Weston Parker’s “Worth the Risk” introduces Caleb, a friend of Brice Masterson. Masterson’s parents have just died and left him a huge estate which leaves Wesley his uncle furious. Masterson turns much of the forest on the property into parkland with Caleb his best friend acting as caretaker and Ranger. The two friends are known for their womanizing ways and have had numerous one night stands. Caleb the Ranger is a strong and big man that loves women just as he loves solitude. Wesley who is Masterson’s uncle has different plans as he intends to turn the land into a mine and secretly send assayers to find suitable mining spots. Given that it s not his land, he is trespassing and engaging in illegal activity. Caleb gets wind of what is happening and the men trespassing on the land under his charge will have it rough if he catches them. Meanwhile, Dani a young professor is conducting research on a species of small frogs found in the park. She is working under a slime ball Dean who has designs of sleeping with her even though she continually fends him off. But she has to stay on his good side to ensure the money she is getting from the university is not cut off. When she shows up at Caleb’s house to embark on her field study, Caleb is pleasantly surprised as he thought the professor was a man. He immediately decides that he is going to make her his.
“Worth the Distraction” by Weston Parker is the story of Brice Masterson, a man with millions of dollars in his account, a masterful reputation and several mansions. The only thing he does not have in his life is love, which he avoids like the plague. He has been in love several times and decided that he could not trust his heart to a woman for more than a single night. But everything changes when he throws a Christmas party and a beautiful redhead attends. She starts insulting him while he is out of earshot but it is at his front that things get really heated. Janna Puchina is at a crossroads in her life as nothing she does ever seem to work. When she bumps into Brice, everything starts looking up and she is scared to hell of it. He has a reputation of being a womanizer who has a new girl every night of the week. He does not want to become just another notch on his headboard. But he insists that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and she is inclined to take his words seriously. Things turn even more complicated when an irate cousin turns up on the scene wanting to hurt Janna by getting Brice’s attention. Brice wants to take care of her while she recuperates but then his ex fiancé is back in town and wants another chance with him. Will she manage to get the man of her dreams or will she ultimately turn into just another notch on his list?

When his fiancée learns that he had been flirting with the caterer she sets him up and smears him all over the media. Whether maliciously or not, the scandal also smears Lila and her business is dead even before it starts. Her ex also comes back and reminds her of the bitter past even as she is fending off the attentions of another caterer. But Alex is determined to prove himself worthy of her love and is ready to give up everything for a chance at loving her.
