Winter Morgan is a published author residing in New York. She is known for writing books for kids.

Winter is continually inspired by her son, who shares her interest in video games. He plays them a lot and she notes him as an inspiration to her! She lives in Brooklyn with her family.

Winter Morgan is the creator and author of the Unofficial League of Griefers series. The series kicked off in 2014 with the publication of the first book and Morgan quickly followed it up with another.

The Quest for the Diamond Sword is the first book in this series. Meet the main character of Steve. He has a pretty cool life as he resides on a wheat farm and has pretty much everything that someone living in a digital world could want.

He has a house, a bed to sleep in, and what’s most important of all, he has food. When it comes to morning time, Steve enjoys spending that time going to the village. There he trades with other people. He exchanges his wheat to others gladly for other resources that he needs: food, swords, books, armor, emeralds.

Steve discovers one day that zombies have come into the village and they’ve gone after the people that live in the village. They’ve gotten to more than a few of the villagers, and now the blacksmith has been turned and is now one of the undead. This is really unfortunate as it means that Steve no longer has a trusted destination where he can go and get the swords that he needs.

In order to be able to have a plan to protect them all before it’s too late, he decides to go out. Steve decides that he’s going to try and mine for diamonds and try to pick up at least 40 of them so that he can use them.

As these are far and away the minerals that contain the most power in this world, he has the original idea of shaping them and using the gems to make a diamond sword that will protect he and the village people from zombies.

That’s what he hopes will happen and this mission is certainly a scary one once he gets going on it. He’s a long way from home now and when the dark is starting to come on, he gets really nervous. As far as the night time goes, that is when people are at their most vulnerable point. He decides to try and seek some shelter and goes to a temple.

There he unexpectedly finds three people. They’re at the temple with the idea of getting at a treasure that they heard was hidden under it. Lucy, Max, and Henry are determined to dig it up, until Steve gives them another idea. He has a big plan to try and find the diamonds and get the power of these gems for himself and decides that he’ll take a risk and share it with these people that he just met.

The trio thinks that it’s a good idea and ultimately are looking forward to joining forces and working together toward this common goal. They are looking for treasure in any form and think that this strategy is a better one. When it comes to finding these diamonds, however, they may be unprepared for the journey required of them and just how dangerous the conditions that they will be mining in will be.

Bad conditions in the mines aren’t the only challenge that they’ll face along the way. Everything from crazy weather to mobs attacking them mean that this new group may be better off splitting up. It seems that single player might draw less trouble than when they are in the multi-player phase. Can they watch each others’ backs throughout the entire mission?

There’s a lot riding on their success, including the liberation and health of a town. Steve has to hurry or they are all going to be vulnerable to zombies. Can he locate the diamonds and will the treasure hunters betray him or stay loyal to the cause to the end? Even if he can get them, will he be able to return to the village quick enough to make a difference?

You’re going to have to read this riveting novel to find out! Check out this really fun first book in the series and see why so many readers cannot get enough!

Hidden in the Overworld is the second novel in this series. Meet the characters of Violet and Nick. They’re hard at work because their town is not going to rebuild itself after what it has been through. They had no idea that they’d seeing a dragon flying up in the sky there while they did it.

Soaring above the small streets below, a dragon has apparently appeared. The next day, a Wither decides to attack. The town is mobbed, and Violet and Noah decide to search for Daniel. They think that he might be the one causing these attacks, and set out to find them with their friends Ben and Hannah.

They hope that their journey to find griefers will lead them to success. Along the way, they start to find different clues. The group starts to wonder whether or not they ever did go anywhere or just started planning their ultimate battle plan that they are going to unleash on the village sometime along the timeline.

The group has plenty of challenges before them, but their main task is to track Daniel down. He’s the head of his own group and getting to him means that they can try to get to him and his friends instead of having to fight them.

The four of them will have a difficult journey ahead of them. They’ll have to take on a Wither and more along the way. Can they find who they’re searching for? Can they win the battles that they can’t avoid?

Noah and his friends are going to have to find out– and so can you! Pick up this fantastic second book in the series from Winter Morgan to discover the exciting ending first hand.
