Yvonne Lindsay is a reputed novelist of romance and contemporary novels hailing from New Zealand and listed in the USA Today Bestsellers list. She has penned a number of romance novels, short stories, and book series like Wed At Any Price series, New Zealand Knights series, Courtesan Brides series, The Master Vintners series, Rogue Diamonds series, etc. Yvonne has been nominated for the Romance Writers of Australia on five occasions. She has also received the nomination for the Koru Award for Excellence from the RWNZ three times. Yvonne likes to spend all her time writing stories emerging from her heart. During her spare times, she likes to read and review the books written by other authors. Yvonne was born in New Zealand to Dutch parents, who were immigrants in the country.

Right from her early days, Yvonne had developed a fascination for the written word. Her parents had inculcated the habit of reading in her, which led to her in becoming an avid reader. She was introduced to romance stories for the first time by an old neighbor when she was 13 years old. Yvonne used to get a lot of inspiration from the books she would read. This inspiration enabled her to try her hand at writing her first romance story at the age of 15. However, she didn’t attempt to write anything seriously until many years later. Yvonne continued to write down her thoughts, imaginary stories, characters, etc. She kept scribbling and editing her stories with the hope that she would be able to write a good story one day. In the meantime, Yvonne completed her graduation and started working sales representative and secretarial jobs. She even got married to her sweetheart and became the mother of two beautiful children. Finally, the day came when her life changed for good forever. Yvonne came across Susan Napier, a Harlequin Mills and Book author, who gave a speech at a writer’s group in her locality.

During her speech, Susan mentioned the aspiring writers to join RWNZ and also provided contact details. At first, Yvonne could not believe that there was such a group for aspiring writers like her. It took her a period of one year to gather the courage to get herself admitted to RWNZ. Subsequently, Yvonne spent the next few years working on the committee of RWNZ. For her, the bliss of coming across other people having the same aspirations and dreams was indescribable when she was in RWNZ. It took her some time, but she eventually learned that in order to become a real author she has to finish writing a book. Yvonne followed whatever she learned at RWNZ and successfully completed a book. She even won several prestigious awards that proved that she was right in pursuing a career in the field of writing. Some of the well-known awards won by Yvonne include the Emma Darcy Award in 1999, the Clendon Award in 2004, etc. Major success came her way when she was able to sell a Silhouette Desire.

Yvonne became thrilled to be a part of the line of romance stories in 2005 that she has always loved to read. Even today, Yvonne has a firm belief in the power of romance and love in every walk of life. Yvonne takes great pride in knowing that her books have sold over 4.2 million printed copies all over the world. She hopes to continue doing the good work for many more years to come. A very popular romance series written by author Yvonne Lindsay is known as the New Zealand Knights series. It consists of a total of 3 books released between 2006 and 2007. Every book in this series features a unique set of central characters, who are depicted as indulging in romantic relationships. The main characters mentioned by Yvonne throughout the series include Connor Knight, Holly Christmas, Declan Knight, Gwen Jones, Helena Davies, and Mason Knight. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘The Boss’ Christmas Seduction’. It was released in 2006 by the Harlequin Books publication. Yvonne has done the plot’s setting in New Zealand and has mentioned the primary characters Holly Christmas and Connor Knight.

Initially, it is depicted that Holly Christmas works in Connor Knight’s company in a clerical position. She watches the handsome millionaire from her cubicle walls, walking on the office floor and develops a secret crush for him. Holly craves for an evening full of passion with Connor Knight. Her wish comes true when Connor asks her to meet him in solace in the privacy of his office to discuss some important matters. The meeting turned into a steamy affair and resulted in sharing a passionate right with the millionaire. After a few weeks of this encounter, Holly Christmas receives the shock of her life. She finds out that she is pregnant. When she informs Connor Knight about her pregnancy, he offers to accept her and take care of everything. So, she need not worry about the situation. But, Holly fears that her scandalous past would come in way of her present happiness. This puts her in a situation where she cannot accept Connor’s proposal, not even for her own baby’s sake.

The next installment of this series is called ‘The CEO’s Contract Bride’. It was published in 2007 and contains Declan Knight and Gwen Jones as the main leads. The novel opens by showing that the fiancee of Gwen Jones ran away when there were just 9 days left in her wedding. What troubles her more is that he took away all her bank account possession. She is left with just one option to save her house, that is, marry Declan Knight, the handsome businessman with whom she had shared one passionate night mistakenly. The marriage is important to Declan also because it is the only way with which he could get access to his inheritance. So, he accepts Gwen’s plan in spite of promising himself not to see her again. But, the plan could succeed only after Declan’s family becomes convinced that what he is doing is for real. For this purpose, he is forced to surrender his control over himself and allow Gwen to enter his bedroom.
