Zina Abbott is the pseudonym of Robyn Echols that she prefers to use when writing historical romance titles.

The California resident has said that she has been living in the state for years and it was only in the first year of her life that she lived in San Diego. She was born in San Diego and as she grew up, her family and ultimately she would move toward the north.

She started writing novels when she was a junior high school student and has never stopped since. Since Zina started so early, she has several unfinished manuscripts that will probably never see the light of day.

She still retains several chapters that she wrote for her debut which she self published as Robyn Echols. She would later on reuse the storylines, the characters and scenes on the “Eurora Rescue” time travel series.

Even though she had some success writing as Robyn Echols, it was not until she took the pen name Zina Abbot that she blew up.

She sold “Family Secrets,” her debut in 2014 to Fire Star Press and has never looked back since. She now has more than a dozen novels, collections of short stories and contributions to several series.

Before Zina Abbot became a bestselling author, she took on several odd jobs to earn a living. Some of the jobs that she took include rural carrier, the California Rural Letter Carrier rural carrier and professor of family history topics.

Abbot has always loved writing her historical romance novels from a genealogist perspective. As such, she will usually seek out the details of everyday life from a past era. In fact, she has published several family history articles in magazines focused on genealogy.

Zina currently makes her home in California, where she lives with her husband near the “Gateway to Yosemite.” When she is not writing her characters and plots, she can often be found making quilt blocks.

During the winter, she can also be found reading a book in front of the fire. Sometimes she also likes to take a drive through the mountains, where she usually takes pictures of the snowy mountains, which she sometimes posts as memes, on her blogs and book cover backgrounds.

Abbott has said that she prefers the mountains over the beach as she gets to visit many historical places that are beautiful to boot. She also loves to watch sunrises and sunsets over the jagged peaks. Nonetheless she also enjoys the beach even though she has never been a fan of the bathing suit.

Zina Abbott’s novel “Big Meadows Valentine” is the story of men who uprooted their lives from the civilized towns of the east.

They had then moved across America to the lawless silver and gold mines of Nevada and California, risking limb and life in the quest for wealth.
Beth Dodd had left southern Ohio with its civilized farms and farmers and her little sister to go find the husband that had left her to go look for silver and gold.

When she arrives in Lundy, she meets Val Caldwell, a man with a heart to trump all the gold that anyone could find in the eastern ranges of the Sierra Nevada. She decides to stay even as she finds ways of settling the tiff she has with her husband.

But given that she has lost everything of value because of the decisions made by her husband and father, can she never bring herself to trust any man to control or have any influence over her life?

She hates the laws which favor men but is determined to take life by the throat and start anew to ensure a better life on her own terms.
Still she has to fight the intense connection she feels with Val and it may be a difficult task for the latter to convince her that she will have a bright future with him.

Val Caldwell is taking a huge herd of cattle to Lundy from Big Meadows. He is driving them furiously as he is looking forward to seeing Beth Dodd, who he hopes he can convince to become his wife.

But she has recently been falling for Gus but does not know if he will accept her and the baby as his own. Even in this, Beth is determined to use her independent and ferocious spirit to bring them together.
