About Zoe Blake

The American author Zoe Blake is a highly regarded novelist of romance and horror, as well as being a master of suspense. With a real gift for building tension, she draws the reader in, while also creating a number of passionately charged stories as well. This has all proven to be hugely successful, allowing her to make a name for herself that’s recognized all across the world. Early and Personal Life

Born in America, Zoe Blake would grow up with a strong passion for books, as she was constantly reading and writing from an early age. Learning her craft, she would continue to develop her voice, building upon both her style and her tone as a novelist to be. Understanding what audiences wanted, she would work on finding her own voice, allowing her to become the writer she wanted to be.

Continuing to develop her craft over the years, she would begin to find her own approach to writing romance stories. This was a genre she would tend to focus upon, finding success within it, as she would become a writer at the forefront of her field. Currently living with her husband a chef, she continues to write regularly with plenty more titles planned on the way.

Writing Career

Starting out back in 2014, Zoe Blake would begin her literary career with single issue titles, before moving on to long-running series. The first book she would release was titled ‘The Submission of Little Emmie’ and it would help to establish Blake’s name for her. Finding her way, she would later move on to writing series’, including the ‘Dark Fantasy’ series beginning with the novel ‘Snow and the Seven Huntsmen’ in 2018.

This she would write with fellow novelist Alta Hensley, as the would work together for the entire series of books. Blake would also submit stories to larger collections alongside other fellow writers, becoming a part of the literary community at large. As a USA Today bestselling author she’s unsurpassed, as she has a lot more set for release in the near future, as her profile continues to grow worldwide.

Queen and the Kingsmen

Originally published in 2018 this would first come out on the 8th of May through the Kindle platform to a wide audience. The third title in the ‘Dark Fantasy’ series of books, it follows on thematically from the others, but it can be read by itself as a stand-alone fantasy. One of the main ideas behind the series is that it’s an alternative look at fantasy and fairy tales, giving them a darker and more erotic edge.

Hiding the body of his daughter named Briar Rose, Zelladine, the Queen of all the enchanted creatures has put a curse upon King Basil, the human royalty. Wanting to locate the body, Basil sends forth his man to capture Zelladine in the hopes of torturing her to find his daughter. Captured with magic, she’s then brought to the human castle, whereby she’s tortured through extreme sadism, as it becomes a game. Meanwhile Basil hopes to find his daughter, as he hopes the queen will finally give in and relent to his men.

There’s a heavy sense of erotica here and it’s definitely aimed at those who are interested in that particular genre. What it does do though, it does extremely well, delivering upon its promise, and capturing the tone of the previous books in the series. It’s a must for fans of the genre, as well as fans of the series, making it essential for any readers invested in the work of Blake.

Reckless Surrender

This would be the third book in the ‘Surrender Series’ of novels from author Zoe Blake, and it can be read by itself. Following on from each other thematically, it’s a romance novel set in the real-world, although it’s primarily escapist with erotic elements throughout. First published on the 13th of August in 2021, this came out through ‘Poison Ink Publications’ to an already eager audience.

When a lieutenant commander from the marines known as Paine faces off against the investigative reporter Mirage, things take a surprising turn. Working for a criminal organization known only as The Syndicate, they both meet in a battle of wills, as Mirage seeks vengeance. That’s when sparks fly, and the two of them find things don’t exactly go according to plan as the chemistry between them builds. Playing a game of cat and mouse, the two of them struggle with their feelings and each other as the passion begins to reach boiling point as they give in to reckless surrender.

Working as pure escapism, this is a fun and inventive novel that knows exactly what it’s doing every step of the way. There’s a lot to unpack in terms of character too, as everyone has their own unique personality, coming alive on the page. The world itself feels fully believable too, as the reader can easily immerse themselves within it, making it one of Blake’s best stories yet.
