One of the most successful novel series written by author Chantal Fernando is titled as the ‘Resisting Love’ series. This series consists of a total of 4 books, all of which were published in the year 2013. The first book of the series was published under the title ‘Chase’. It was released by the Createspace publishers in the year 2013. This novel’s plot features the primary character in the form of Layla Crawford. At the start of the series, author Fernando has described that moving in with a man with you have met only once in your life is the most stupid thing. But for Layla Crawford, it becomes reality. And the man with whom she moves in is Chase Jackson, who is described by the author as a renowned playboy. Before meeting Layla Crawford, he was more of a self-professed committed person. After seeing her, he becomes extremely blinded by the intensity to have her in his life. In his dedicated attempt to have her in his life, he seems to be stopping at nothing to possess her. However, the skeletons from the life of Chase begin to pop out of the closet one by one. One of her jealous ex and several of her old conquests begin to make repeated appearances which tend to push Layla away from her further and further. Also, Layla seems to he determined to keep the distance from Chase. In another book of the series titled ‘James’, author Fernando has described the romance between the main characters named James Steele and Sasha Crawford.

At the beginning, James appears to live quite a complicated life, due to which he finds it difficult to get close to other people. Also, he goes on lose the only woman in his life, Sasha Crawford, because of his secrets. With the passage of time, he moves on with Tatiana, who works with him and understands that James might have some reasons for keeping his secrets. But, when Sasha makes her appearance in his life once again, things begin to get difficult for him once again. Now, he has to decide whether he wants to live with the woman he cares for or the one whom whom cannot stop thinking about. When Sasha met with James Steele for the first time, she began to think that she had discovered the love of her life. This feeling lasted until she found him in bed with another woman. She becomes extremely heartbroken and decides to move away from him. Eventually, Sasha begins dating with other men as a means to get over with the pain of her broken relationship with the handsome James Steele. But, when she crosses path with him once again, she finds that he has a new woman in his life. This makes her even more angry and she cannot decide what she should do next. Whether she should demand answers from him, or leave things on their own, or fight to get back her love in her life.
