Lorne Simpkins is character who is featured in a M. A. Comley’s series of entertaining investigative thriller novels. M. A. Comley is one of amazon’s top 20 best selling British author. She is one of those authors who attract agents to make contracts with them as a result of their impressive sales figures. Comley decided to quit her job in retail and turned her hobby into a career. All this happened when while she was undergoing a traumatic divorce. This was when she and her mother decided to move to France a country neither of them had previously visited. Comley became a published author in 2010 and she has the privilege of being represented by one of New York’s top agents. She has a passion for dogs and this is symbolized by the fact that she shares her home with two enthusiastic dogs that follow her everywhere she goes. She is known to write mystery novels along with a few romantic ones.

M.A. Comley began the Lorne Simpkins series in 2010. The series started with a novel titled Cruel Justice, this book is simply a must purchase it starts with the discovering of a headless decomposing body. Then later another victim is discovered. Detective Lorne Simpkins and her partner are placed on the case. They fist have to identify a connection between the two victims before they can even identify the killer. After the third murder Lorne gets a surprise from the killer and she becomes the killer’s obsession. Lorne is determined to catch this murderer and not even her failing marriage will stop her. The suspense in this book is simply awesome.

Then follows another mysterious book titled Impending Justice, Detective Lorne is in search for a criminal known as The Unicorn but the killer is quite good at impending justice. In this book Lorne is faced by challenges like her partners death and her daughters kidnap. This shakes Lorne’s confidence but she is still more than determined to catch The Unicorn. This is a book that keeps you glued to the very last page. The next must purchase book from the Lorne Simpkins series is Final Justice. This starts with the return of a merciless killer who forces Lorne to revisit her unpleasant past. After Lorne has suffered a breakdown and has even quit the force she finds herself in the middle of an operation to track down one of her old enemies. Lorne tracks the killer through France and is determined to scatter his plans of being the world’s richest man. Will she be in a position to bring him to final justice? The mystery in this book just makes you want to know more and more.

In the next book titled Foul Justice detective inspector Lorne makes a come back to the force. Before she even gets the chance to adapt to her new partner they are assigned to a mysterious murder case that looks more like a robbery gone wrong. In less than twenty four hours a wealthy footballer’s family experiences the same tragedy. This makes it clear that the crimes are about something more than just a robbery gone wrong. Lorne finds it challenging to focus on the case after she finds out some news that forces her personal life to spin. However, she is not ready to let this foul justice prevail by not hunting down the killer. This book makes you want to join the characters in their investigations. Then comes another thrilling novella titled Guaranteed Justice retired DCI L. Simpkins finds something fulfilling enough to do with her husband, they start an animal rescue center. However, this changes when two sisters decide to adopt a watch dog from the rescue center. When Lorne visits the sisters’ home to check if their home is suitable enough to accommodate a German shepherd, she notices awful injuries on one of the sisters and also finds out that she acquired them from a rape ordeal by someone she knows. This story changes Lorne’s life and she decides to be a private investigator. She takes up the case and is ready to see the rapist behind bars and the girl guaranteed justice.

Then follows an amazingly mysterious novel titled Ultimate Justice, this book starts with dozens of bodies being washed to the shore after a ship wreck. This catches the attention of Private Investigator Lorne Simpkins since she feels that evil has camped in London. In the process of investigating the ship wreck she comes across a more disturbing case, young and helpless women are being sold against their wish to wealthy men. She is more than determined to put an end to this trade especially when she realizes that the very authorities supposed to help the helpless women are part of the trade. Her focus is shaken a bit after her daughter experiences a grisly accident but she is more that determined to put an end to the human-trafficking and bring the criminals involved to justice. M.A. Comley goes ahead and publishes a book you must purchase titled Virtual Justice. The discovering of a strangled body attracts Lorne’s attention and the investigation then broadens after a second woman is murdered. She realizes that a serial killer is killing women from dating sites. The case however gets complicated when the third body to be discovered is a man. Lorne is left wondering if she is trailing a serial killer duo. All the answers that Lorne needs are out there but is she able to solve the cases before the appearance of more bodies? This book is one of those books that keep you engaged till there is no more mysterious drama to read.

The justice series is finalized by a fiction novella titled Hostile Justice. This books starts with Lorne being enticed back to the force and she has to pair with her former partner regardless of the fact that she is now Lorne’s superior. They are placed on a case where four small boys find a woman’s corpse. The victim’s husband assures them that she had no known enemies making the case a bit difficult to solve. In the course of her investigation Lorne is faced with a personal challenge after her teenage daughter attends a friend’s party where she faces terrible consequences. The mystery in M.A Comley’s books never comes to an end, her books are a must purchase and interestingly thrilling.
