Most of the romance novel series written by author Mary Wine are in the form of trilogies. One among her most successful novel series is the McJames series. This series is comprised of a total of 3 novels published between the years 2009 and 2010. The first novel of this series was titled as ‘In Bed With a Stranger’. It was released by the Brava publishing house in the year 2009 as a Paperback edition. The plot of this novel features the primary characters in the form of Brodick McJames, Anne Copper, and Mary Stanford, and revolves around the happenings in their lives. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Brodick McJames is introduced as an Earl, but only for the namesake. He is described as being in the need of an English wife so that he can secure the future of his clan. Mary Stanford, who is introduced as being the daughter of the Warwickshire Earl, seems to be his suitable match. Brodick Mcjames has never met her before, but he does not care much about it.

The only thing that he wants from her is to eventually grace his bed and bear his child. After that, he will not be needing her anymore. Anne Copper, who is the half sister of Mary McJames, appears to be a noble woman. Being born as an illegitimate child is the only thing that bothers her and she cannot forget it. The best hope that Anne Copper has is by staying in her father’s house and work as a serving girl. Soon, Mary Stanford learns that she is going to be engaged to a Scot and therefore, she becomes restless. She decides to use the help of Anne Copper and sends her to Alcon in her place. When Anne arrives in Alcon, Brodick McJames realizes that she is not the woman that he was expecting. However, the two of them develop a deep passion for each other which promises them much more than a pretty convenient marriage. And as their fates begin to draw them closer, it becomes very difficult even for the plot of a noblewoman to separate them. The novel ends in an interesting manner and very well serves its tag line till the last page. The plot of this starts with the line, an imperfect match, and in the end, Brodick McJames and Anne Copper end up being the imperfect match for each other. However, they come close and develop a passionate relationship with each other.

The second novel of the McJames series written by author Mary Wine was published under the title ‘In the Warrior’s Bed’. It was released by the Brava publishing house and depicts the main characters in the form of Cullen McJames, Laird Erik McQuade, and Bronwyn McQuade. Author Mary once again described the McJames clan in this irresistible sequel to her erotic debut novel and has continued to describe their battles, loves, and conquests. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, it is shown that Cullen McJames does not wish his honor to be sullied, especially by the nemesis of his clan named Laird Erik McQuade. Therefore, when is charged by him with stealing the virtue of his daughter in the Scotland Court, he decides to steal his daughter instead. After seeing his brother getting married and settles, Cullen too wishes to have a good wife. He also thinks that marrying Bronwyn McQuade will help to end the prolonged war between the two clans.

Also, he seems to have fallen for the beauty of Bronwyn after looking at her only for once. But, Bronwyn does not wish the same way and believes that she will not receive the punishment for the things that she has not done. She even does not wish to live along with the resentful veterans of the McQuade wars. Cullen McJames might be a very brave and handsome man, but he has a lot to learn about the fighting spirit of a woman. He intends to teach Bronwyn what she does not know about him and seems determined to make her fall in love with him. The plot of this novel is also full of charming romance and delightful characters. This helped it to attract a number of avid romance readers throughout the world.
