Chronological Order of Rosemary Beach Books
The Rosemary Beach series is a collection of 14 different novels based on the adult fiction and the romance genres. The series is written by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the USA Today bestselling novelist, Abbi Glines. The Rosemary Beach series is a combination of the three smaller series written by Abbi Glines, including the Too Far series, the Chance series and the Perfection series. The first series consists of 4 novels and the remaining two series’ have a couple of novels under their title. In all, the 14 novels of the Rosemary Beach series were published from 2012 to 2015. All the smaller series’ depict the love life of a different set of characters. The Too Far series shows the relationship between the central characters Rush Finlay and Blaire Wynn whereas the Chance series depicts the life of Grant Carter and Harlow Manning. The third mini series of the Rosemary Beach series depicts the romance between the main characters Della Sloane and Woods Kerrington. The series saw huge success with the younger readers with the release of its initial novels.
Author Glines has described explicit content for showcasing the adult romance between the main characters and as a result the series is labelled as 16+, to be read by the appropriate audiences. The first novel of the Rosemary Beach series became the New York Times bestselling novel because of its huge success and introduced the characters of Rush Finlay and Blaire Wynn into the world of the Rosemary Beach in the United States. Rush and Blaire are introduced as step siblings who live in different worlds. Rush is depicted as the son of a wealthy rocker whereas Blaire is shown as a farm girl belonging from Alabama. The two get to meet each other during a summer in Rosemary Beach. After the death of her mother, Blaire was left with only her stepfather and a mountain of debts. She had to sell out her Alabama farmhouse and clear all the debts. Now that she is left alone, there is no other option for her except moving with his stepfather to Rosemary Beach, Florida. However, Blaire does not want to move in with the new family, but she has no other choice. She drives to the town in Florida in a pickup truck. She carries a pistol along with her, thinking that she will never fit in the new place. On reaching her new home, Blaire discovers that her stepfather had left for Paris. This disappoints her even further. She is left alone with her step brother, Rush Finlay.
Rush is portrayed as a cynical, unapologetic and condescending character. He is somewhat a spoiled son of the infamous rock star, whereas Blaire is quite gorgeous. As days pass by, she begins to see the romantic side of Rush’s character and feels impossible to resist the developing chemistry between them. However, Rush has a secret that could turn Blaire’s world upside down if she came to know about it. Now, it is to be seen whether she will be able to find out the secret before falling too far. The second novel of the Rosemary Beach series also saw tremendous success among the younger generation and went on to be listed in the New York Times bestselling novels’ list. The sequel to the first novel continued to depict the passionate love story of Rush Finlay and Blaire Wynn. In this novel, Blaire regrets leaving Rush after knowing the secret, as she missed the intense love which she had with Rush. However, she is left alone with her stepbrother Rush as her step father goes to Paris along with her stepmother. Going by his nature and behavior, Blaire knows that Rush is never going to be any good to her. He is not the one who can be trusted. However, she falls for his charm in spite of knowing that he keeps secrets. She doubts her feelings for him once, but trusts her destiny to lead her to the right path. The novel became the New York Times bestselling novel of the year and was also nominated for the Goodreads Choice Award for the year 2013.
The second novel of the Rosemary Beach series was published under the title ‘Never Too Far’ in the year 2013 by author Abbi Glines herself. This novel continues to depict the love life of Rush Finlay and Blaire Wynn. The plot of the novel is set in Summit, Alabama, United States and Rosemary Beach, Florida, United States. The novel opens up with Blaire coming to know about Rush’s secret. She becomes angry with Rush and decides to move back to her home town Alabama. She was in no mood to forgive him for destroying her life. However, she used to miss him and could not stop loving in spite of the betrayal. She had started to live on her own and had moved on in life. But destiny had something else in mind for her. Due to an interesting turn of events she is once again forced to trust Rush again, even though she doubts her senses. Blaire prays to God she does not commit another mistake in life by trusting Rush once again. Author Abbihas stated that the latest novel of the series will be her last in the series as she is working on another series. The novel attracted young readers because of its explicit content. The readers loved the description of the plot and the development of the characters in the novel.
