The plot of the novel is set in Sorry-in-the-Vale, United Kingdom and deals with the lives of the main characters, Holly Prescott, Angela Montgomery, Jared Lynburn, Kami Glass and Ash Lynburn. In the opening sequence of the novel, Kami Glass is introduced as a girl who loves a man she has never met. She always says that she has been talking to a boy in her head from the day she was born and everyone thinks of her as a girl who has lost her mind. The fact that she never remained silent about her imaginary love life since her childhood has forced the people around her to treat her as an outsider in the Sorry-in-the-Vale town. But, she does not care about what people think about her. Apart from living in her own imaginary world, Kami keeps herself busy by running the school newspaper and making some good friends who believe her. However, she is occasionally caught talking to herself. Other than her imaginary love life, she finds everything else to be perfectly in order in her life. However, her life is about to change with the return of the Lynburn family in the town. The Lynburns are the owners of the centuries old manor which seems spectacular, but is considered to be sinister by the people of the town. The family of the Lynburns consists of twin sisters who had abandoned their ancestral manor a long time back and have returned with their teenage sons, Ash and Jared, one of whom seems to be familiar to Kami. With the sudden change of events Kami gets determined to find the answers to the questions that keep popping in her head and is not the one who would shy away. She decides to find out the one responsible for the bloody deeds carried out in the woods. Kami also tries to find out what her mother is trying to hide from her and also feels herself to be in a dilemma whether to trust his imaginary friend or not, who has suddenly appeared to be real. She begins to doubt her feelings for her.
The second novel of the series was published in the year 2013 under the title ‘Untold’. This novel too depicted the mysterious lives of the Lynburns along with other characters such as Kami Glass, Holly Prescott and Angela Montgomery, just like the first novel of the series. In the town of Sorry-in-the-Vale, magic seems to have spread suddenly. The town was previously ruled by the Lynburn family, who used to terrify the people for killing in order to remain in power. When Jared Lynburn returns with his family in the town and tries to bring back the olden days, he faces resistance from Rob and his company. Kami, on the other hand is stuck in choosing between the good and the evil.
