May 2025: Books I Read Last Month
Book links take you to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn money from qualifying purchases.Written by Graeme April was one of those months where I read some GREAT books. A very good month in terms of quality.
I’d love to read more – but then, who wouldn’t? I could read a book a day and still wish I was reading more.
A Calamity of Souls by David Baldacci: Just an incredible book. His Time To Kill. I listened to this one rather than read it and that really added to it as well – although you could read it no problem as it was just superb. He narrated it himself though which I really liked and did a fantastic job of it.
I Will Ruin You by Linwood Barclay: A solid thriller by Linwood Barclay about a teacher who is blackmailed after he is shown on TV, by a former student. Took points off for a rather silly ending scene, but Linwood is always an enjoyable author.
You Killed Me First by John Marrs: Regular readers will know John Marrs is one of my favourite authors out there. He has The One Universe and standalone thrillers, and this one may be his best standalone thriller yet. I don’t say that lightly either – highly recommend this one. Not just for the thriller aspect, but also the interplay and conversations between two characters which was hilarious. Top marks to John.
Split Second Series by Douglas E. Richards: I don’t want to say too much about this except someone figures out how to travel back in time in a split second. Which may not seem like much – but then you have two groups chasing the technology down and are ready to killf or it and yeah – definitely something more there! If you are a fan of Blake Crouch etc, be sure to read this.
