Adam Nevill is an extremely popular English writer who is mainly famous for his supernatural horror novels. Although he has written around 9 erotic novels under the name of “Lindsay Gordon”. However, he is more famous for his spine-tingling horror novels. Needless to mention, these novels present the readers a world of extremely creepy, eerie, and uncanny atmosphere along with a deeply engaging and unconventional story.

Early Background & Other Specific Details : Adam Nevill – The author was born in England (in the year 1969). He eventually grew up mostly in New Zealand and England. Description of two early books as written by Adam Nevill – Although, the prestigious English author has written several excellent books based on a common theme (“creepiest horror”). However, two of his early creations are briefly described below.

1.The Ritual : This novel is one of the most brilliant creations by Adam Nevill. The book was published in the year 2012 and eventually got an overall impressive review from numerous of his fans, followers, and other book critics. In fact, this novel also won several awards too.

The novel basically features a mind-twisting journey into the world of terror which is deeply disturbing & absolutely riveting. In fact, it’s a tale of a man’s ultimate survival story presented with a truly horrific realm.

Here, in the middle of a deep and dark Swedish forest, four lads are waiting to reunite and renew their earlier friendship through a little outdoor adventure. Now, they are on a mission of exploring an incredibly adventurous journey and they want to enjoy it to the fullest. While they have just started their journey, however, they will face a series of various peculiar incidents pretty soon. For example, initially, they come across a pretty strange site where someone (probably a hunter) has hung a dead animal body in the branches of a big tree. Is it some sort of warning? However, the four friends ignore this incident and proceed further.

Now, after a major storm, when the four buddies are all soaked and completely drained, they run into an old locked cabin which offers them an immediate shelter from the storm. But, here’s a twist; this cabin is a bit weird where the walls are filled with animal skulls & crosses. Now, inside it, they will find the macabre remains of old rites & pagan sacrifices; unidentifiable bones and ancient artifacts. In fact, this is a place of dark ritual & the home to a bestial presence which is still present in this ancient forest, and now they are the prey. Soon, the friends will disappear one by one! And, the story continues with an extremely well-developed sense of trepidation and fear.

The author cleverly combines the intense analysis of friendships with his unique descriptive writing style. Obviously, the writer does an excellent job by building a highly stressful, extremely terrifying and an incredibly interesting plot which is just spectacular. Overall, the novel is creepy, scary, interesting, and shocking at times & it surely engages the readers until the end!

2.Last Days : This is another excellent and award-winning novel as written by Adam Nevill. Needless to mention, this novel also features the author’s specialized genre of “horror”. The book was published in 2013. Here, the story starts with a brave and adventurous documentary film-maker who undertakes an investigation of a well-known dangerous cult.

Now, Kyle Freeman (the documentary film-maker) will be asked to shoot one film on the notorious and extremely dangerous cult primarily known as the “Temple of the Last Days”. Here, to mention, this particular cult has a prolonged history. It became a worldwide phenomenon ( merely in 1975 ) when there was an absolute massacre including the death of an infamous leader, Sister Katherine. Now, the major character of the book, Kyle Freeman, is here to completely explore all these paranormal myths that are surrounding this organization and have eventually made it a testament to murderous rage, paranoia, and occult rituals. Kyle will take interviews of those who were actually involved in the case. This time, a series of extremely uncanny events will happen, for example, nocturnal visitations, the discovery of some ghastly artifacts, and the sudden demise of the interviewees etc. Will Kyle discover the real truth behind this incident?

Here, the author delivers a fast-paced narrative which keeps the chills and thrills coming. And, the story continues with various mind-blowing twists and creepy consequences!

Rewards & Recognition – Adam Nevill : The writer has won several awards due to his undeniably excellent writing style. His book, “The Ritual” was awarded as “Best Horror Novel” by British Fantasy Society (in 2012). Apart from that, his other books, namely “Last Days” and “No One Gets” also received awards for being the “Best Horror Novel” in 2013 and 2015 respectively.

Films & TV Shows : Reportedly, six of his horror-based novels will be soon debuted either in television or as a film including the famous books, The Rituals and Last Days.
