Blog
Welcome to my blog.
Here is where I’ll write well – whatever I want to write about books I guess. I’ll talk each month about what I read the previous month, run contests here and so much more.
This’ll basically be a place for me to do my musings and write my various opinions.
Below, in date order is everything I have written for the blog category:

I have a lot of books (hardcover and paperback) that I would like to donate to the Armed Services. Does anyone have any advice or addresses they can recommend? I live in northern MI.
Check out Operation Paperback
A few years ago I read some mystery books about a lady caterer. She had a police officer husband. I can not remember the author. Can Any one help?
Is it possible for you to review the Elemental Wars series by K Gorman?
James Patterson’s latest book in the Maximum Ride series is Hawk out this year, 2020.
Does anyone know of an author for historical fiction for colonial india?
Just finished “Falling into Battle” Was there a follow-up book?
I just discovered your dogwood lane series and loved it. Please tell me you are doing a book about Matt.
Correction on Julia Kent books in order. Little Missy Perfect, Fluffy, and Perky are before Feisty in the Do Over series and are not stand alone books. Also, It’sComplicated, Completely Complicated, and It’s Always Complicated are part of the Her Billionaires series and not standalone books either. Hope these comments helps you. I love what you are doing here!
Hello there, I really like your site. An author you are missing is Luke Short who was one of the best western writers. Email me at: stevebooth8739@gmail.com if you want a list of his books, etc.
Hi, I have purchased all the insight series. an im trying to complete the see series for my grandaughter for christmas, however the last five of the see series i can’t find them in print, i have tried everything i know, i’m missing supernatural chronicles, a lovers revolt, scorched souls, fractured thrones, conjouring royals….i need them in paper back. were they ever in print. please advise me where to look…..Thank You
Any details on the next book in the Stephanie Plumb series by Janet Evanovich (Autumn 2020)? I know it is called “Fortune and Glory” and does not seem to have the normal naming convention of including the series number (twenty-seven) in the title. It continues the story of the key in “Twisted Twenty-Six”.
I can’t find a list for Abraham “Bram” Stoker
Hi everyone. I just finished Miracle Cure and loved the character Max Bernstein. Is he in any other books?
I love this site. I would recommend adding an audio book link.
Hi Bruce, I just finished A Dog’s Journey and I loved it I had it done in 3 days. It really made love my little guys that much more. Thanks for writing such a beautiful story.
Hi All- my mum is a massive Toff fan, and I want to surprise her with a copy of the Toff book where his partner finally gets divorced- can anyone provide the name of the book? I’ve tried multiple fan sites to no avail, and clicking on description links doesn’t provide that info. Many thanks to anyone considering replying!
Is this blog about mystery and detective novels? Or about romance and fantasy, too?
series family saga series that goes back and forth in time thanks
I have a question: some time ago, I had collected and read the Forever Hero series. All I can find on Amazon are 3 books. However, what I had, and read were 6 books to the series.
I d not remember the names of the books, but I know there were 6. Does anyone remember the names of all 6 and/or know where I can find them?
Between a storage room, a house full of books, and a relative throwing books away (before I stopped him), I have no idea where any of mine (except the 1st) are. I am also living somewhere else.
When a new book comes out (or at least I get my hands on a copy), I re-read the series from Book 1 (Christine Feehan now has 32, that’s a lot of re-reading). After a while, when I have read a set so often, I will stash them and take a long break from them. Of course, then, when I want to read them again, they are a nightmare to find again.
The Privilege of Peace (Peacekeeper) by Tanya Huff is so hot.
Question: are the books listed on this site actually “series?” OR is it just publication order and the books can be read in any order? AND how do I tell? Thanks so much.
On each author page we break them down by series listed in publication order, and then if there are standalone novels provide a separate list of them too.
I work at a public library and I LOVE this site. I would like to suggest numbering the books in the series so it’s simple to identify what you’re searching for.
Is there more after big girls do it pregnant?
Just purchased my first book for my husband. Do they have to be read in order of publication or can you just pick any one of them up and start reading? I’m way out of order if so!
Hi Patty,
What book was it in what series?
I’d like to know if the Alexander Hawke series needs to be read in order also.
are the books listed on this site series or simply publication order
I’m confused. How do we tell?
Sorry just saw this. We always list publication order and we’ll usually only list the chronological order if it differs from the publication order. Or we’ll add a note below the publication order letting you know what the chronological order is.
Chron order being the order they were written (versus published) or the order the storyline follows and should be read? I’m not seeing where Chron order
is explained. Thanks.
The order the storyline follows. I’ll use Jack Reacher as an example. When the series begin, the books follow the same publication order as they do chronological order. In all of these it is once Reacher has left the Military.
However Book #8 The Enemy takes place while Reacher is IN the military. So chronologically within the books timeline that book takes place “first” ahead of the already published books and is the first in the chronological order.
A suggested author; Jane Thynne Historical Fiction WWII actress, Clara Vine. 4 books. As well done as Charles Todd novels of WW I.
OK – I am totally confused. In MacKenzie book 17 – Shane’s story – he falls in love with Lacey……in book 18 he married Tess……did I miss something? Is there a novella I missed or a book? Help…….
i dont understand why at the end of book the affair reacher telephone to garber at 23.36 24 minutes before the midnight train crash the car
My first post, too . I wish you’d list comparable authors, For example , I’m hooked on Robert Crais’s Elvis Cole /Joe Pike series. Can’t wait for ‘The Wanted ‘ which I have a hold on.
The closest to Crais I’ve found is Robert B. Parker, which I’ve gone through with less satisfaction . I’ve read Harlan Coben, but he didn’t engage me. Lee Child’s Jack Reacher’ series I’ve read; also James Lee Burke , Dennis Lehane , Michael Connelly’s ,Harry Bosh series, John Sanford , Lucas Davenport series . I’m running out of ideas . Can anyone help me find a new author series ?
(My first post, also)
I, too, loved Robert Crais’s Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series, and think you might find Greg Hurwitz an enjoyable author. Would suggest his Evan Smoak Series and if you like those, go on to the Tim Rackley Series. Have also read and loved many of Hurwitz’s standalone novels, as well. If you do read any of these, I hope you will enjoy them as much as I have.
(Oh, and another author you might want to check out is Paul Finch. I’ve found his books to be very enjoyable, also)
Thank you for the suggestions. I don’t buy books any more, &, do all my reading on my iPad through the Tennessee state library system. I’ve put two of Greg Hurwitz’s books on reserve. Some I could only get through Kindle which I don’t have. All the TN libraries had more of his audio than e-books. If I like them (&, I probably will,) I will read more.
I’ll remember Paul Finch, too. Right now, I have 5 e-books out of the library.
Thanks for your help !
If you have a PC, Amazon has a ‘Kindle for PC’ that is free to download. Then you can read all the Kindle books you want. Of course, it’s not exactly as portable. .
What kind of books do you like? SciFi, Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance, Mystery etc? Just started reading posts, so I’m kind of late to the discussion.
I’m hooked on good mysteries & usually have 3-4 on my iPad at a time. I used to read biographies & autobiographies but I’ve lost interest in most of them .Ghost writers, selfies , & , bias , are more prevalent than not.
I am currently reading another J.D. Robb book (they take place around 2060) but are really a good mystery series,; James Patterson—any of the Women’s Murder Club books are good . J.T. Ellison, & Brian Freeman, I also have on my iPad right now.
The best mysteries are series books where you get to know the characters , vs., stand alone books where you just get a single snapshot.
Good reading , but, be sure to take the time to stay engaged in life .
Hi My first Post.
Just on the latest Sam Capra Novel – I actually enjoyed it and I think everybody knew Sam was going to be reunited with his Brother. I guess the swiftness of his Brothers demise and the Fallout with Mila were disappointing but I still enjoyed it and the merits of this installment lay ahead in the next one following Capra’s new alliance with his new “boss” and a potential realliance with Mila (I hope so anyway)
Yeah I can’t quite put my finger on why I didn’t enjoy it – at least compared to the other ones – but at least it’s ended interestingly, and the books from here on out have the potential to be really good.
